If you ride a bicycle near downtown Tempe, you should check us out, we believe in riding bicycles as much as possible: to work, school, and market, today! We are a commuter support facility offering full service repairs, rentals and new/used bikes.

Story

The Bicycle Cellar is Tempe's downtown bike shop. We work on all bicycles but we focus on selling utility, commuter, transportation, urban, touring, adventure and Surly bicycles. We primarily stock Kona, Surly and Retrospec with other awesomeness squeezed in between. We can custom order/build other brands, too, including Soma, All-City, Pake and more. We are also a membership based commuter support facility. Housing 112 bike parking racks, lockers and four showers, members have 20 hour per day access to bike commuter nirvana.

For a smaller shop, this place is top notch! Good service and very attentive staff. After looking into this shop via the web I decided to check it out in person. Was kind of hard to find at first (due to sharing a location with the Tempe transit center). Ended up purchasing a new Surly and some other items and have been a repeat customer ever since. Great attention to detail and decent prices! After reading some of the other reviews I felt that I needed to add my experience and review to the list. For those that posted a negative review on this shop, give them another try!

I have been going to the Bicycle Cellar since I have moved to Tempe for school and I love it! This place has some of the best service, all the guys are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I go in every now and then for customizations and modifications to my bike and have never been disappointed with anything.

The staff are very welcoming. The guy who was at the counter was happy to fix a minor problem without any fuss and also made sure things were tightly screwed in. Happy with the service

Older guy that worked there since 2010 knew his stuff about bikes. Very helpful and nice,  I plan on coming back in the future for my bicycle needs. Great place, kinda hard to find at first.

The owner of the bike shop is super awesome! I bought a Ui5 Magnum electric bike there and he did a fantastic job in educating me on pretty much everything with the bike. When I had a flat a week later, he was more than happy to fix it up really fast and added sealant to the tubing free of charge. He even informed me how to disassemble the back tire (where the motor is) so I could fix it myself in the future. I've shopped around to many bike stores for an electric bike and these guys were by far the most helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely getting another bike from them in the future.
