If you're thinking of buying from here, think twice. Apparently, my order of the Montecore 3 included "older model" handlebars, so the brake levers that came with it didn't fit. Now I have to buy brakes to fit whatever size these handlebars are. State refused to send brakes that fit the brand new bicycle I purchased from them. Risk it if you like, just a heads up on how this company operates.

Have had nothing but good experiences dealing with State staff. Initially bought a bike earlier this year, and it is the best value I've ever had in a new bike. I have the core line, and it is rock solid and requires little to no upkeep (other than inflating tubes and lubing the chain every so often). I even have yet to pop a tube after 6 months of riding through bumpy city streets in DC, knock on wood!

Recently purchased some upgrade parts through them as well. Thought I had an issue with the parts themselves but it turned out that the first bike shop I went to somehow couldn't install perfectly fine parts (not much of a mechanic myself). State went above and beyond and shipped me replacement parts and a free return label without any proof their parts were defective. They made a difficult situation so much easier and their parts are top notch!

I loved the buying process, but when I assembled it and test rode it. I though other wise it's not very comfortable for it being a commuter so I wanted my money back and they are willing to do that but they take 15% of what you paid them for a SHELF restocking fee. And for me that's about 95 dollars they keep.

Bought the 6061 Black Label frame back in March, 9 months later I start noticing a crack near the seat post. I was unaware that it was due to the height of my seat post. Regardless State Co. treated me with respect and were very helpful. They replaced my frame within a day with no hassle. Not only do they take care of their customers but also have amazing products. Thank you State Bicycle Co. definitely doing business with you again.
