Upon searching for a breakfast spot, “The Big Biscuit “ pops up. Now there weren’t many reviews to go off of, so we decided to take a chance, and I'm happy we did. Upon entering the establishment, the door was held open by a lovely staff member that showed us to our table. Not long did, our waitress came along to take our order. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, which helped us decide what to order. The only downside when placing our order is that the restaurant doesn't have meat “Pork” substitution. No turkey bacon, No turkey sausage, No chicken sausage bummer, and the gravy also contains Pork, another disappointment. Overall, the food was delicious, expensive but delicious. They do offer outdoor eating on the patio that's wheelchair accessible.
Probably my favorite breakfast spot in Edmond. We have been a couple times now. If I'm just trying to get a quick bite for breakfast it's a for sure hit! Great decor, friendly, prompt, professional service. Amazing food. The breakfast potatoes are heavenly and I'm in love with their Belgium waffle. It's crispy around the edges, soft inside and just melts in your mouth. I didn't even need syrup. Ask for melted butter, it's perfection! Their coffee is delish! I can't wait to go back, again and again and again!
We love this place! From healthy to indulgent choices, there's something here for everyone. And made my Texas born heart, raised on cheesy grits left happy & full Service was helpful and attentive. With it's oversized space & local decor created a comfortable, cozy yet roomy atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Our server was amazing! She was so knowledgeable of the menu and very friendly. It was my birthday her and another coworker told me happy birthday. The food was absolutely delicious! Definitely will come back for another yummy meal!
Ate here for lunch. Absolutely amazing taste. The chicken tenders had great flavor, were juicy, I don't see why they are called almost famous! I had the Haymaker fries, with shredded cheese, chicken tenders, sausage gravy with a biscuit on top. The hubs had the chicken fried steak with gravy, fried potatoes, and over easy eggs. We will definitely be back, and I think my kids will love it too! Nice to have another resturant in town with great food!
Lives up to the name - the biscuit in the kitchen sink dish was massive. The kitchen sink dish was superb and it’s covered in delicious sausage gravy. The pancakes are so good, large and fluffy that melts in your mouth. The staff is super friendly and the kitchen staff does an amazing job of great tasting food in a timely manner. It’s awesome having a new breakfast place on the north end of Edmond.
Great breakfast and brunch spot in a much needed area of Edmond. Everything tasted fresh and the staff was very friendly. Our kids loved the food so everyone was happy. Can’t wait to return.Recommended dishes
After running a few errands this morning, the wifey and I decided to enjoy a nice breakfast at The Big Biscuit. I'm just going to say it from the jump. The food and service here, in my opinion, are nothing short of AMAZING! Now, you're probably wondering why I'd only rate 4 of 5 stars for a place that I found to be so amazing. Let's take it from the top. Upon approaching the entry way of The Big Biscuit, staff opened the front door and greeted us. That's always a good start. We were immediately led to our table and and then greeted by our waitress, Leslie. She was very kind, with a side of charm. I ordered our drinks, and practically salivated over the delicious choices of food on the menu. I won't speak for my wife, but I ordered the Country Fried Steak and Eggs Breakfast, along with the French Toast a la carte, which Leslie recommended. You really get your money's worth. I loved the portioned sizes. The country fried steak was o-so tender. The scrambled eggs with cheese were delightful, and the hash browns were on point. And Lord have mercy, Leslie was right! That french toast was mouth watering! Speaking of Leslie, her service was excellent. She made sure our drinks stayed topped off, our tables remained clean of finished plates and our food was to our liking. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah! You still want to know why only 4 out of 5 stars, right? Ok, here it goes. If I could make one suggestion, it'd be that The Big Biscuit provide more of a variety of options for those that may not eat pork, due to their faith. The country fried steak was DELISH! But I bet it would've been AWESOME, had there been a choice of gravy other than that which included pork sausage. I also might've ordered bacon or sausage with my breakfast, had there been a turkey substitute available as an option. Just something to consider. However, other than that, everything else about The Big Biscuit was exceptional, and I'd highly recommend this location for your dining pleasure. Thanks for the experience!
Wasn’t impressed at all to drive clear across town to eat ok breakfast. Nothing we had stood out as OMG I gotta come back. The Alamo burrito really had no flavor tasted like salt n pepper weren’t used. Big breakfast was ok the biscuit was best part gravy tasted like it came from a can not made from scratch. Wouldn’t drive over 30mins to go back
Love that they came to the city well Edmond. Either way, I will be back. First enjoyed this place in Kansas City. Good food, good service, great biscuits.Recommended dishes
