Story

Situated on just over an acre in NW San Antonio, near the UTSA campus, THE BLOCK will be an innovative gourmet food truck park hosting some of SA’s top local chefs serving tasty eats prepared from fresh ingredients. Relax in a serene, park-like setting and enjoy an ice-cold beer or choose from a selection of wines from The Bar. Families, friends, and anyone looking to kick back and sample great food are welcome. The park will feature a large outdoor projector screen for movie nights and sports events. Throw the Frisbee, play horseshoes and other outdoor games or surf the web on our free Wi-Fi network. Horrible service and place. My husband & I stopped by to grab something to eat here, it was our first and definitely our last! I ordered my food from a truck close to the bar area my husband walked to the food truck outside the gate, we thought that was one of their trucks advertising from the street that they're back there (since they sit behind the store) so my husband got his from there, when he came in to sit with me some short little man from the bar came out and rudely asked my husband what's in your bag!?! My husband replied food from one of your trucks, his reply was I guess you didn't read the sign when you walked in! You can throw your food or we can hold it for you till you leave! My husband and I couldn't believe his tone and the way we were approached embarrassing us in front of other people that way, it gets worse.. as we are gathering our things to leave after being treated this way he continues to walk behind us, he and my husband still exchanging words when my husband tells him he'll make sure to let people know how we were treated he tells my husband 
F$&! you! And is flipping us off ! Never going back!
This kind of behavior might be acceptable to college or younger crowds but definitely not for us!!! Definitely NOT kid friendly, mind you kids were present when he was using foul language and flipping us off!

I'm at The Block enjoying a great afternoon. The staff is amazing. Everyone has been super helpful and polite to explain the Taco Salsa event. There's a great beer selection and we get to try all the food trucks! I love that there are people of all ages here. Definitely coming back!!!

We enjoy the atmosphere of The Block beefy much. It attracts a variety of people: UTSA students, families with kids, dog owners. The only drawback is that there are no healthy food choices. Most foods are fried or of the pizza/burger variety. Last night I had fish tacos that were tasty, but the only option was fried fish. At another good truck that serves tacos, I asked if they had any tacos with beans and vegetables; of course not.

I had an awesome time at the block. They had a few different food trucks that provided a food selection. They had trucks for a sweet tooth, bar b que, tacos, and sea food. They have a small field with games that allow it to be kid friendly.  They also have a bar for those who like to partake in adult beverages.

They can train their staff how to appropriately and politely speak to their customers. I witnessed a short man that was from the bar area come and basically embarrass an older couple not young punk kids but a husband and wife because the man had food from a truck that was not part of the block but a truck right outside. He was rude as hell and made me think if they believe it is ok to talk to customers that way I won’t ever come back or recommend this place. A simple sorry sir that food is from an outside vendor and not allowed the woman got food from a place inside . Just think the whole situation could have been handled better .
