I was not sure what to expect when I first visited here recently. I was asked to go to The Chocolate Sanctuary for a recent dinner date. The atmosphere was slightly formal, but many people were dress very casually, which seems to be the norm at most restaurants these days. Lighting was subdued, which provides nice ambience. The service was top notch with no complaints. They even marked down that we only had an hour for dinning and held to that for the most part. The dinner choices often had a unique chocolate flair, but not ever entree. Both of the dinners we ordered were tasty and well presented. The desserts are good, if not a little over the top. Expect to spend $50 for a couple or more if drinks are included.

Went for Sunday brunch. Everything was so delicious and unique. The chocolate sourdough French toast was delicious. The waffles on a sticks were delightful and the beef tenderloin was the best I've ever had. The service was wonderful!!! All the wait staff were helpful. Service with a smile.

Love the atmosphere here. Very unique food, everything has chocolate in it but it’s all very tasty and gourmet. They have a great brunch too! Good for large groups.

Went here for brunch on 9.10.17. Arrived shortly after they opened and was seated immediately! Great service! Excellent food! Beautiful decor! Unique setting! Moderately priced! Friendly and Efficient Staff!

I went here with friends for the first time yesterday to celebrate my birthday. We were a bit late for our reservation, but the hostess at the front desk accommodated us right away. We were seating at a table near the door which caused some discomfort for us; we were all wearing dresses, so each time a waiter opened the balcony door, we felt a cold breeze. Also, the tables were positioned close to one another. Nonetheless, the ambiance was perfect and our waiter, Raoul, was extremely kind and personable; he gave us the spiel of the restaurant's history and menu options. Our appetizers and beverages arrived soon after. Throughout the evening, our waiter, as well as two others, made sure our glasses were replenished, empty plates were removed from the table, and appetizer bowl was full. In regards to the food, Raoul did a good job in explaining each of the menu items; he had us verbally state what we wanted, to clarify that we knew what we were choosing. Of course, chocolate was a popular ingredient in most of the dishes; Raoul reassured us by telling us not to allow that to sway us, because the chocolate actually accentuates the flavor. I ordered the fettuccine without the chicken with a side of Brussels sprouts. It was my fault for always connoting "fettuccine" and "Alfredo" during my order. Further, when my plate arrived, I was a bit taken aback by the lack of cheese in my pasta; however, there was so much flavor from the cherry tomatoes and other ingredients that I hardly cared. After our meal, Raoul arrived with a plate that read, "Happy Birthday". He then joined my friends to sing an amusingly inharmonious Happy Birthday. The desert was mousse with chocolate crust at the base. In all, the service was lovely and I enjoyed the evening.
