This resort is pure magic. My husband and I popped in here late one evening, to check out the venue + hotel space. It was Christmastime, and we were not disappointed. A roaring fire, love music and beautifully decorated spaces greeted us. I couldn’t recommend this venue + Resort more for our clients.

One of the most well planned, beautifully architected resorts in the country. Highly recommend for photographers and videographers. This is such an experience to be at the Cloister.

Wife and I stayed at the Cloister for two nights. We had a couples massage and my wife utilized other spa amenities. We dinned at the river bar, southern tide, men's locker room, tivola and the oak room. Grounds and facilities beautiful and relaxing, staff professional and accommodating, food and drinks delicious. The bartender, Scott, at the men's locker room was particularly awesome. Highly recommend all men visiting his bar. Tivola is my only complaint. Food did not live up to the hype, service was subpar and the sommelier was supposed to help is pair wines. He spent our entire meal at one table with beautiful blond women and did not speak to us until we were leaving.

Good luck sleeping at this place. Every single room comes with bizzare smoke alarms that have 2 very bright lights that blink repeatedly. They are exceptionally annoying. The front desk told that me they get complaints all the time, and they usually have a doorman come to your room and wrap a towel around it (sounds safe huh?). For what this place charges, you would think they could afford to buy fire alarms that dont bring an unwanted light show to you while trying to sleep.
