Desoto was a good place to get some BBQ. Wasn't the best I've ever had, but definitely hit the spot. The brisket was a tad dry, but adding their great tasting sauce helped. The mac and cheese was A+, however the baked beans were a little too savory for my taste. Cornbread was excellent, the honey butter it comes with is fantastic. 

The beer selection is limited, but is all Montana brews. My wife had the homemade strawberry lemonade and loved it. 

Check out Desoto if you want some good BBQ in this neck of the woods. You won't find any better around.

Word of warning: this place fills up early at dinner time on the weekends; always a good sign of an excellent restaurant.

I wanted to try as many items as possible on this visit, so I was happy to see a combo platter which included three meats, three sides and cornbread. This combo platter could be shared among 2 or 3 people depending on appetites. 

For the meats, we chose the elk sausage, beef brisket and pork ribs. For sides, we went with the smoked veggies, pork belly collard greens and slaw. My favourite of the meats was the tender brisket, but the pork ribs with a nice crust were a close second. For the sides, the collard greens stole the show, with the rich pork belly and tangy vinegary dressing. The corn bread was generous and served with some awesome honey butter.

My one complaint is that, while a selection of BBQ sauces was provided on the tables, the meats came dressed with a it of the sauces as well. I would have preferred the meats came "naked" so that I could dress them if wanted.

Service was fast and friendly. The bar menu includes a selection of local drafts.

Excellent food. Friendly and helpful service. Beautiful open kitchen with rustic atmosphere. Well priced very tasty food. 
A great find that we go to whenever we are in town, so much so that Desoto has become synonymous with Kalispell and anytime one of our friends says they will be in town we tell them to try it. Five stars, every one of them deserved.

Absolutely Amazing! A big group of us ate here after the Spartan Beast race and they had great service and amazing food. One of the best burgers I've ever had!!

Super tasty food and friendly hosts. We loved it so much after dinner that we had to come back for lunch the next day. Great BBQ, awesome selection of beer on tap, and don’t forget about the peanut butter pie (I think that’s the name of the most delicious dessert I’ve ever seen). Must go.
