Located at 407 SW A Street, The Forge is inside of Bentonville Ornamental Iron. Originally opening in 1959, owners Lise Wentz and Frank Wallace have continued the tradition of since 2006. The store front has become a gallery of their work, along with other local artists.

Bentonville Ornamental Iron's pieces can also be seen throughout the Restaurant & Pub area. Tables, chairs, lights and fixtures all bear the mark of these master craftsmen.

Common across Great Britain and Ireland, "Snugs" were for patrons who preferred not to be seen in the public bar.

Ladies would often enjoy a private drink in the snug in a time when it was frowned upon for women to be in a pub. The local police officer might nip in for a quiet pint, the parish priest for his evening whisky, or lovers for a private rendezvous.

With the tremendous growth in Bentonville in recent years, manufacturing at the current Bentonville Ornamental Iron location became a challenge. A trip to Ireland in 2013 inspired ideas of a restaurant, but also concerns of the iron shop loosing it's historic place in the Bentonville community.

Two years later, construction of The Forge began and manufacturing was moved to another location.

Our Restaurant & Pub offers authentic Irish and New American foods, as well as a variety of draft beers and cocktails.

Public parking for The Forge is available at:

- 305 SW A
- 402 S Main

What an unexpected find! I was actually looking for a real forge and found this great local version of an Irish pub, complete with a Snug! The decor here is mostly from the ornamental iron company that used to work out of the building that now houses the pub. The menu is not typical bar fare for around here, but is good quality. There is a lot to explore here, and with our group we covered a good bit of it. The fish and chips I had were great! Crispy and the breading stayed with the fish. The fries where a good finish. My friend had the bangers and enjoyed them and the mashed potatoes with them. I also tried the tomato soup and was quite pleased. We finished with a shared desert of chocolate cake that was rich and smooth. We had a large group (10) and dropped in without reservations for lunch. We were quickly accommodated in spite of another large group already there. Service was great and we were still able to converse pretty well. This is a full bar although we didn't try it out during lunch that day. This place is definitely on my list of local gems to share with visitors now.

The food is so good. I have been here several times and it's always delicious. The atmosphere is quaint and respectful of the ornamental iron history of the building. They have patio in the back with live music when the weather is nice. Also a really good house wine. Ive had several business meetings and casual dinners here. The Forge is a great location for both. Go check it.

This local forge turned eponymous restaurant in downtown Bentonville starts with Irish Pub charm and does not disappoint in food. Started with apps: pretzel, loaded chips, pickles all good. My Bangers and Mash were excellent. Friends had Reuben and Fish and Chips all to applause. First visit was good and finished by eating wonderful chocolate cake.

Smaller restaurant + bar with relaxed vibe. 30's-40's type crowd when I went. Was able to bring 6 month daughter without issues to the restaurant side. Bar and lobby are at the front. Plate portions were very large; ordered 2 appetizers and shepherd's pie to share between two hungry people and we couldn't finish any of the plates. Bartender gave us a comp diet coke/sprite while we waited for a table.

Very nifty little place. Has some Irish food since it's an Irish themed bar. Fine place to bring the family and the decor is rather nice. They do have limited seating in the colder months so if it's a busy night expect to wait.
