Beautiful for an outdoor wedding and reception! The food was wonderful! Heat lamps were provided due to cool temperatures. The outdoor bathrooms are nice but they are outdoors, so expect bugs.

Awesome trails through prairie, forests, and wetlands for hikers or strollers. If you somehow don't see any animals outside, pop into the interpretation center to see plenty of live snakes, turtles, fish and a few birds.  There are also plenty of crafts for kids, rocks and artifacts to check out and handle, and a gift shop.  During peak hours the volunteers will pull out an animal to be pet and a blacksmith who will show you how they worked metal during pioneer days. This place is a popular with all my kids and easy on my wallet (free!)

I found The Grove to be an interesting and fun nature spot for nature and animal enthusiasts.  Even young children enjoyed visiting.  The nature walk paths are relaxing and easy to navigate.

Interesting and cool place. The people are so knowledgeable. Take a hike, learn about Indians, and the family that took care of this land. Such a beautiful place!

The Grove is by far my favorite nature reserve in the area.  The prairies are gorgeous.  We always see lots if wildlife and they have an amazing interpretive center for learning.  With it's historical buildings, you really feel transported back to the late 19th century.  The Grove hosts many special events such as the Fall Folk Festival and Pioneer Day.  In November they turn all of their buildings into a fabulous holiday craft fair that will definitely get you into the holiday spirit!
