Delicious . We went there last night to celebrate our 8 year anniversary.  Oh yum. The drinks were one point, appetizers were amazing and our entries were just as good. We had clean plates. Oh yeah we had dessert as well and that was awesome! We will definitely returning. No wonder this place is ranked #1 in dport.  Atmosphere was very nice and quiet. The host was very nice and our waiter was very polite and helpful.  Appetizers: Carne Asada Flatbread and Arancini de Riso. Entries: Filet Mignon and Pork Madirea Dessert: Lemon Blueberry layered cake and Creme brulee.

Half Nelson is my favorite special occasion restaurant. It’s a little more upscale/pricey than I would go to for a regular casual dinner, but it’s a once a month must. The pecan chicken is my stand by, but for my birthday I got the steak and lobster and it didn’t disappoint. Drinks are great, the steak flatbread is the best appetizer and the Crème brûlée dessert was amazing! I also appreciate the ability to make reservations, and the layout of the restaurant never feels a overwhelming in a pandemic life. Service is always great as well.

The restaurant is located downtown area, close by the river.  The service is on the spot.  The decoration is classy, wood trim, stone table.  There is a wide selection of wines and sprites.  The price is decent, about 35 dollar per person with drink.  The food portion is ok, but my scallops are a bit too salty today, a bit over seasoned.  Other than that no complaints, it is a good date night spot, I will say.

Just unbelievably good food and amazing service! Drop your plans for your next night out and hit Half Nelson! You WILL NOT regret it!!

The scallops were delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for fine dining.  Our server was prompt and had a good grasp of the menu selections.  I would have given a 5 but I felt the portion size did not match the price.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant!  I had the best scallop capellini ever!   The Crab Binet as the appetizer is a must!   Our waitress was friendly and helpful and the wait was short!

We stopped in after the Jr. Bix 7 and dinned in the courtyard. We had the flatbread appetizer, cauliflower dinner, and a traditional hamburger, all were delicious…the flatbread alone was very satisfying. The service was exceptional and I was blown away by how great our hostess was. If you haven’t been here you should, if you’re not hungry the drinks alone are second to none in the area. I recommend the courtyard on a nice day.

Second time here and the food is consistently wonderful!  This time around steak and scallops and unique cocktails!

First visit to The Half Nelson. Very nice and clean establishment. Our server was excellent. I ordered the salmon and my wife ordered the shrimp and grits. Our son in law ordered the brisket burger and our daughter the shrimp and grits as well. The only downside of the meal was our son in laws burger was over cooked. Otherwise all the other meals were excellent. The drinks were very good as well. We will go back.

Went for an anniversary dinner after being highly recommended to us. Amazing service by Jeremy, great atmosphere, food was perfect. Both of us got the filet and the red wine pairing was perfect. Everything we ate was wonderful plantation salad, crab appetizer and really liked that dessert was from local blue spruce bakery down the street!
