We stopped in for coffee to go in the middle of the afternoon on Thursday and I'd love to report the coffee and service were great, because this place appears warm and inviting and the menu looks delicious.  Sadly though we were never waited on and left. The young woman at the counter acknowledged us and then turned her back to us for 10 minutes while she operated the espresso machine, making two drinks. I have never seen someone so slow on a machine and I've been a barista myself. When she turned to checkout patrons who had been sitting and eating when we arrived (with no acknowledgement that we were still waiting and just leaving the two drinks to get cold) I realized I didn't have time to wait for her to finish that and then spend another 15 minutes making our coffee, so we left. I'm giving the place 3 stars because like I said, it's really cute inside and just LOOKS like a locally owned cafe that I would love to love. And I don't think the young woman was being intentionally rude. She seemed inexperienced and without back-up.  We may try again when we have time to sit and have a meal.

We really wanted to like this place because it's local and has a lot of good reviews. We've been here twice now and will not be back. The first time we went the service was SO SLOW but the food was great so we gave it another shot. The second time we sat down and ordered coffee... after 20 minutes no one had taken our order. We decided to pay for our coffee and leave. If you have plenty of time to sit around and wait then I guess this place is worth it because the food is good. Just be prepared for a long breakfast.

The omelets are always tasty, the pancakes are huge, and they know how to make crispy bacon that is not burnt. I love getting brunch here.
