Story

The Herndon Company was founded in 1953 by Mr. Arthur Herndon , Jr. who served the Company proudly until his death at age 89. His son James Lee Herndon is now the President of this multifaceted company. We are a full service real estate firm specializing in residential, commercial, property management, farms and land in the Valdosta and South Georgia area. Our Company has 8 people on staff with 24 Sales Associates. We are members of the National Association of Realtors, Georgia Association of Realtors, Valdosta Board of Realtors, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, Employees Relocation Council, Valdosta Multiple Listing Service, Valdosta Chamber of Commerce and the Valdosta-Lowndes County Property Managers Association.

We met Larry Mercer after seeing a home in Ray City that we were considering as an investment property...He was the listing agent.  The home was under contract so we asked him if he would be willing to work with us on finding another in the Moody AFB area of Valdosta.  Even though the homes we were looking at were all priced less than $120,000 and Larry wouldn't receive a huge commission from his time with us, you would have thought we were looking at half million dollar properties from the way he handled every potential home we looked at.  He was thorough, knowledgeable, efficient and extremely hard working.  He was with us personally all the way through the signing at the closing attorney's office and even took time the day after closing to help us locate the property corners at the home we purchased so that we could build a fence.  Wish we could give more than 5 stars to Larry.  And a note to the Herndon Company, don't let this guy retire!!

Whitney Sharpe sold my home in just a few weeks.  Was always available to answer any questions we had about the process.  She even gave us staging ideas and it worked!!!  My house sold very quickly.  I would highly recommend The Herndon Company for anyone needing to sell or buy.  Also had experience with the rental department- wonderful staff always willing to help.  You can rent the perfect home or they will be happy to rent your home-whatever you need The Herndon Company Real Estate & Propery Management is the "ONLY" option. 👍👍

Nathan was a great help during the whole process.  We looked at a lot of houses in a short amount of time and was willing to meet us when we could.  He was able to get everything resolved ahead of our deadline which was a great help.  Would recommend anyone to work with him!

Nathan was wonderful to work with as my fiancé and I went through the process of buying our new home! He was very friendly and honest, and really listened to our feedback about the houses that we looked at. We ended up with something we really love and we are so happy in our new home! If we do decide to move again down the road we will definitely hope to work with Nathan again.

Sarah Parker was an amazing agent throughout the entire buying process. She was very attentive, worked to find us the house that was going to best suit our needs, and truly listened to what we wanted. Absolutely the best buying experience we have ever had. This is a great company to deal with, and Sarah is the best agent I have ever worked with.
