I wish I remembered the name of the person who cut my hair because she was fabulous! I have historically not taken care of my hair at all, mostly because I have been clueless about how to style it, even after repeat attempts to find something that works for me in the past. However, the wonderful folks at The Hive not only gave me a cut that works well for my hair, they also talked me through simple ways to begin taking care of my hair and two ways to style it that a novice like me can accomplish. I am so happy to say that I have transformed my style over the past week thanks to the great, understanding advice from the people at The Hive. There was no judgement, and there were no attempts to sell me expensive products. Everyone was so friendly--I have never felt so comfortable getting my hair cut and getting advice before. Thanks so much for the incredible service and for your patience. I'll be back soon!

The stylists and owners here are amazing. I have difficult hair to cut because it is so straight so it doesn't lend itself to mask mistakes and you can see minor imperfections in the cut. I have been seeing Dan for the past couple of years for haircuts, and he does a great job. Always delivers and never over-sells services or products. And there are 2 convenient locations!

I found The Hive shortly after moving to New Haven about 2 years ago and have been going there ever since. Wonderful stylists and reasonable prices. I walk out after each visit feeling great about my cut and/or color (balyage with Jenna always turns out awesome). I couldn't ask for anything morea They're definitely worth checking out.

Fabulous, friendly, professional staff. My husband and I have gone here for over a year and have always had perfect haircuts here. My husband has very, very curly hair and this is one of the few spots we've ever been that he's gotten a real haircut and not been told he needs to just get a buzz cut. I have stick-straight, pretty boring hair, but The Hive always makes it look great. They're always up for fun and challenging cuts. We do something different with my undercut every time, and it's always great. Note that they have two locations. They're close together, but I can imagine it's possible to accidentally end up at the wrong one!
