It was a lot of work to finally be able to apply and interview but everyone at HACLA was extremely helpful and respectful. My advice: make sure you have a great case worker/housing Specialist OUTSIDE the Housing Authority (a third party non profit) they will guide you and do a lot of the dirty work and make sure to application is correct and accepted.

I have 4 years waiting for an apartment, n still don't received any documents or information about,every time when I call they say the same thing "we still working on June 2012,n ur application was received on January 2013"..REALLY... I see a lot people that really don't need those apartments,n still living there ..How is possible they are a low income families n they driving a BMW,Mercedes Benz, Jaguars ,Range Rover even a Bentley, N also they don't even work, how is possible that housing doesn't know about that,something wrong is happening...

In order to get a good QUALITY service, you must be "BLACK" or a MEXICAN. Other then that, don't waste your time. Don't believe me? Walk in that building, and see for yourself...
