The Museum complex includes the Boyhood Home, Interpretive Center, Huck Finn House, WPA Stone Building/Gift Shop, Becky Thatcher House (under renovation), John M. Clemens Justice of the Peace Building, Grant's Drug Store, the Tom & Huck statue, and the Museum Gallery. Artifacts include numerous items that once belonged to Mark Twain including a white suit coat, his Oxford gown, a jewelry box he had hand-carved in Italy for Olivia, photos, first editions, letters, etc. The Museum also houses 15 original Norman Rockwell paintings of Tom and Huck.
The mission of the Mark Twain Home Foundation is to promote awareness and appreciation of the life and works of Mark Twain and to demonstrate the relevance of his stories and ideas to citizens of the world.
