Story

Established in 1959, customers have long come to us to gather and root for their favorite sports teams! We take great pride in our menu - it's to die for! Come order up a delicious steak, wings, sliders, pizza or a wonderfully huge salad.

Come ride the mechanical bull or throw a party or event! The Old Pro can accommodate groups from 15 to 300.

Palo Alto standard. Solid sports bar. Can be crowded on game day. Can also be overrun by the college crowd. Not saying that’s bad. You just need to know what to expect on any given day. Overall, great spot. Game on!

THE RUDEST STAFF I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!!! If it was possible to post this review without any stars, I would. My husband is from Palo Alto. This is my first trip to the area. Myself and my husband's friends (a total of 4 of us) had seats at the bar. While my husband was in the bathroom I placed my purse in his bar stool. During this time a member of the staff, perhaps a bouncer if some sort, came up and said I need to put my purse on a hook under the bar and that he would be back in 20 minutes to check and see if someone was actually sitting in the bar stool. At this time my husband walked up and confirmed that yes, that was his seat. The bouncer/staff member said, "I'm taking the seat now." I thought he was kidding! I replied, "No, this is my husband and this is his seat." This went back and forth a few times until he walked away with the bar stool. I was flabbergasted!!! Did that actually happen? Naturally we walked outside to leave using the back entrance. While walking through the hallway my arm lightly brushed the same bouncer's arm. He turned around, walked up to me and told me I was rude for brushing his shoulder and wanted me to leave. He had the audacity to call me rude!!!! Maybe this is typical for the area around here, I'm not sure. I can tell you where we live paying customers would NEVER be treated this poorly!!! I would not recommend anyone to this establishment.

Waiters don't pay attention to your orders and keep making you wait for service for too long. Super crowded and very loud. Food is also terrible.

This place is chill. Our waitress was slow as hell, but the five stars is for the place. Good ambience. Young professional crowd. You'll see people on 1st dates from time to time. Lol & you can tell. Tried their rosé slushie and it didn't taste like rosé, but it was still good. They serve happy hour so our group was spending like crazy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
