The employees here all seem bored and when you ask questions act as though you are bothering them. I've visited this place a few times and have had the same thing happen every time. I have made purchases from this store so it's not as though I am just loitering and wasting time. I was actually told by an employee a few months back that the owner dislikes people handling and spending time with the animals there? I found that absolutely absurd since that helps get the animals used to people and in turn is benefiting the animal but whatever. Not to mention their asking prices for many of their animals are way too high. You can find pets from reputable breeders for generally half the price(especially their birds). I have very little to say about the way they handle puppies since I've never really held an interest in getting a "designer dog", but I personally think the enclosures they keep them in are WAY too small and have read up on their "reputable breeder" who has been a proven puppy mill(owner continues to deny it). Will definitely not be returning here any more and I highly suggest that if you are looking for a pet or pet supplies that you go elsewhere.

My family purchased a puppy here last year, that we love greatly, but we found out recently that he came from a puppy mill, along with many of the other puppies here. That is completely unacceptable. We are happy that our dog is no longer in that situation, but will be doing our research beforehand from now on. Please be informed before purchasing a pet. Please do not support animal mills.

i asked to play with a puppy and a nice girl brought it into a play pin for me to play with. my only complaint, which was quite big, was one other employee. my best friend and i were playing with the puppy, taking pictures of it to show my family, and then he sort of barged into the play pin. he then proceeded to march up behind me, scaring me a bit, and took the puppy right out of my hands and mumbled "i'll just take her back now". my best friends step mom was very bothered by this, as were we. he was not polite, he did not apologize for startling me, and made me lose my interest in adopting. every other employee was very kind, and even talked to us about the animals. this one man, however, was not helpful or respectful at all.

Our wonderful puppy came from this store, and after a measly five minutes of research, we found out that the breeder who supplies the puppies to this store is the owner of one of the largest puppy mills in the country, located in Kansas. It's as simple as doing a quick Google search of the breeder's name. You shouldn't shrug off what so many people are constantly pointing out to you. Maybe instead of leaving passive-aggressive replies to reviews, you actually address the problem? It's a disgusting business practice to support puppy mills. It's even more disgusting to be borderline hateful toward the people who pointed out your wrongdoings. Listen to your customers. It might be a little more expensive to buy your puppies from a legitimate breeder, but at least it's not supporting animal cruelty. The breeder technically classifies as a "High Volume Breeder", but just how high volume is over 800 dogs at a time? What's the law on that? Isn't it no more than ten litters on a property at a time? A reputable breeder will do as follows: breed one type of dog (as opposed to the numerous, [I believe I've seen up to 18 different breeds and mixes on the store's page] breeds the store sells regularly), and not sell to a store that's over a thousand miles away. Good breeders don't have to sell their dogs to stores to earn money. They can sell their dogs themselves. It's downright insulting to not bat an eye at what your customers say. The FaceBook reviews point out even more compelling evidences against their breeder. And also, saying that, "I believe for a review to be valid, you should have shopped at the store you're reviewing", doesn't discredit what the person is saying. It's just a rude way to shrug off someone that is completely capable of performing a Google search. Research pet stores, and if possible, buy directly from a breeder. Don't support this place. Edit: Did I say that having 2-3 dogs on a property is the maximum for being a reputable breeder? No, I didn't. I stated that having over EIGHT HUNDRED dogs is not okay, in the slightest. That's a puppy mill. In no way am I painting all commercial breeders with the same brush. I'm saying that four to five litters is a humane cap to the amount of dogs to have on a property. Puppy mills are disgusting cess pools of genetic diseases forced upon hundreds of dogs. There is a review stating that a dog purchased here died (if I remember correctly) twenty days after they bought it from a genetic disease. That's disgusting. Obtained from a breeder who runs a puppy mill. And yes, there are bad apples in the breeding industry. But you're buying from one.

First time in. Very limited selection of items for your pet, not a lot of inventory. What was really surprising (& depressing) to me was how many animals they had for sale in small cases, which I thought was an outdated practice. Dear Cary neighbors, please seek out a reputable puppy or kitten breeder or adopt. As the other comments point out, these puppies are very likely from puppy mills. I will gladly shop here again if they decide to stock more product & less puppies & kittens.
