Love The Press, but wondering if they have new hours. They were closed when I arrived a few minutes to 7pm tonight on a Wednesday.

I took my pants into The Press for sewing. When I went to pick up the pants, the store did not have them and could not tell me when they'd be available. It has been two months and no one at the store will call me back - I call a handful of times each week and ask to speak to the manager, only for a message to be taken without a returned phone call. I have not received any updates on my pants and have not been offered any kind of retribution. It has been the WORST customer experience I have ever had.

Best dry cleaner. Staff is friendly at the U street location and they deliver right to your door. They have done my shirts for me overnight often when I'm in a pinch without additional charges.

It's kind of my fault for expecting tailoring to be good at a dry cleaning place, but...why offer it if you're just going to ruin people's clothes? I had a shirt that I wanted a little tighter around the waist. The person measured me, and when I came to pick it up the armpits were so tight that I felt like someone was picking me up by the armpits. I'm 5'1 and 110 pounds. They said they couldn't fix it, and made me pay for it anyways. :(

Great place.  All services are done in-house. They wash and fold - nothing has been lost (at least not yet!).  Good price also.
