I had high hopes for this restaurant when I booked a visit for me and my wife, and many (but not all) were fulfilled.  We sat in the outdoor patio area, which was both covered and heated, and enjoyed the ambience there.  The food was generally good, though I thought my hanger steak was a little too charred on the outside, detracting from the flavor.  The service was friendly and the restaurant owners even came around to say hello to guests while we were there.  My biggest complaint was that the service was extremely slow.  We didn't have a server come to our table for ~20 minutes after we were seated; the appetizers didn't come out until we'd been there for 60 minutes, and the mains didn't come out until 90 minutes after we arrived (at which point we were pretty hungry).  Not sure if they were understaffed this particular night or if it's a recurring problem.  The prices also felt a little high in comparison with similar restaurants.  Good visit overall, but I certainly hope the service moves a little faster if we go back.

Excellent atmosphere with excellent food. You can have several small plates or go for the full entrees. Its cozy enough to actually have a nice conversation. The wine list is great as well as their specialty cocktails. Dinner for 2 can range from $60 to $150 w cocktails & dessert. You wont be disappointed!

I've been to The Raymond on multiple occasions and every single time the food is a knock out. They get it right with everything. The atmosphere is homey and quite romantic, low lights, high booths, great outdoor areas. The bathrooms are single service so if the door doesn't open it means there's someone inside- don't keep trying to rip the doorknob off.

I go to the Raymond a lot with friends. Either for brunch or occasionally just for drinks. I want to like it more but it has some issues. Drinks (almost always) take forever to get. Sometimes even the food service is slow. The drinks and food are really very good. The staff is all very nice and if there are any issues they will usually make up for it in some way. The place itself is pretty awesome inside and out, especially at night. If you've never been you should just go and check it out for yourself.

Really nice  ambiance.   Inside seemed cramped.  Outside was better.  
 Food was okay, service was okay.  Valet parking.  We parked on the bridge and walked in.
