Excellent atmosphere. There is a live fire in lobby and you can smell it. It's great. The floor creaks because it's 100+ years old. Old construction and decorative details everywhere. Really beautiful.

I'm a Berkshire local and, as such, have never had a reason to be a guest here. The front area is warm and welcoming with a classy classic country type of feel. The chess board is iconic and the porch in warm weather is nice for relaxing. I have been to the Lion's Den several times and the food and drink is always top notch. The nightly live music is also a notable plus.

We we're thrilled to get a same day, spontaneous booking here.  As it was the last available room, my husband and I accepted the twin bed, shared bathroom accommodations.  We did not mind although the lav was down the hall!  We Loved everything that was happening at this quaint yet hip Inn.  We felt fortunate to be able to sit outside on the grand porch and enjoy drinks before dinner in late October!  Speaking of dinner...the food in both the tavern and the main dining room was exceptional.  After dinner we enjoyed listening to a great live band down stairs in  the Lion's Den while sharing a delicious seasonal dessert!

Beautiful piece of History in Massachusetts. Take a walk through the inn and definitely eat at the tavern upstairs, it was delicious and a nice experience. Another great thing to do in the area is the Norman Rockwell museum about 10 mins away!

It's a decent place to visit. We drive there on occasion for lunch. Last week it was on a Saturday.  The bar lady downstairs was trying to tend bar and also take care of all the orders in the bar dining area by herself.
We felt rushed. We felt as though we were an inconvenience.  We were there for 1 hr and spent almost $60 for a cheese and sausage appetizer and two cider drinks. We couldn't wait to leave, to be honest. 
I hope they get more help ..... if not.... it's just a place to say you went to.... and not a place you'd want to go back to.
