First time here, great impression! I was born and raised in south Georgia and BBQ was a large part of my growing up. I ordered the brisket and I was pretty impressed, as a person who smokes a lot of meats I can see what goes into BBQ and what it should be when it's done right. 

The Brisket; 

It was 17$ and was pretty well worth it, had a subtle not overpowering smokiness and was tender but not mush. Smoke ring was a bit thin but it's a difficult meat to get 100% right, my only legitimate complaint was that it was a bit dry. Literally the tiny smallest bit dry. Otherwise great.

The side of coleslaw and cornbread were good too, not just your standard watery soggy bland coleslaw, it was actually pretty sweet and if I'm going to eat coleslaw it'll have to be sweet and crunchy. The cornbread was nicely done, not dry, and we'll seasoned. 

The staff was great from word go coming into the building. Our waiter was Cody and he was kind, and I found the service very punctual. He was consistent but not overbearing and intrusive. 

Other than that great music, great atmosphere and great food, 9/10 much wow, such impress, yum.

We both did combos, me the 2 meat, hubs the 3. We were not impressed... The chicken was horribly dry and no amount of sauce was able to bring it back. The pork was so salty that it was borderline inedible. The brisket was weird... It looked like a slice of roast beef, oddly no smoke ring. Once we noticed that last one, it dawned on us that nothing had a smoked smell or flavor. I'm hoping it might have been an off night, but at 6 on a Friday night, that should have been prime time. I'd like to say that I'll give it another shot, but after dropping $60 for the 2 of us, we probably won't.

Ribs were amazing. Loved the South African sauce.  Great Bloody Mary!  Bartender could of been nicer but owner was amazing. Great dining experience.

Mac and cheese is Awesome! Cheese Curds are amazing. I would not recommend the brisket, both me and my boyfriend have got the brisket and it was cold both times it came out. Service is great though! would recommend just not the brisket ever!

1-19-18 Started off fine. Drinks/food decent. Brisket and ribs for me. Pulled pork sandwich for the bride. Halfway through the meal, airhead bus girl cleans the table next to us and sprays cleaner all over our table and food. Wife and I both shoot looks at her. She knows what she did. She says, “good thing I just got the ketchup bottle.” We tell the waitress, she says, “sorry.” Tell some other flunky, he says, “sorry.” No offers to shave a couple of bucks off or try to make it right. $60 bucks for half a pulled pork sandwich and three bones of ribs and untouched brisket.  I give this place a year before it ends up belly up (pun intended) just like captain’s the last place. Treat locals like this and we will bury you with word of mouth.
