Sonora reminds me of a fusion Mexican restaurant. The food is not the "standard" Mexican food you find in Utah restaurants. The food has always been great! But I don't always like the food profile choices. Again the food is excellent but it's not always traditional. Plus I have found some amazing dishes I love but every season they change their dishes and you can't order dishes that are no longer on the menu. So if you want to try something different and have an open mind about what Mexican food is then you will enjoy this restaurant. I gave it an extra star because they are very caring and generous to the local community.

There is no better Mexican restaurant in the United States that I have found. Ownership and staff are incredible folks, the food is superb and I have only ever been delighted by the vegan and vegetarian options. You won't find a huge freezer in the back of this place. It is as fresh as it comes and they use simple, whole foods. The owner loves being a part of Ogden's resurgence too. Amazing all-round! I will return again and again for years when I am passing through.

Ordered a pork dish with Jasmine rice. Flavor was great with just a bit of heat to keep it interested. Ordered the citrus mojito, wasn't aware it had beer in it. Not sure if it's to make up for lack of enough rum due to Utah law. Service was great, and my buddy buddy said the seasonal coconut flan was amazing.

Nice atmosphere, high quality food. But lately they seem to charge you extra for everything. Even chips and spicy salsa coat extra. It's a nice place though.

Been here over a dozen times and always so good. Waiters are usually pretty great too. Seriously one of our favorite joints to eat at. Haven't had a dish I didn't love!
