The Soup Cellar was established in 1988. We took ownership in 1994 and ever since we have been striving to create an experience that offers the highest quality of service, food, and atmosphere.

Story

The Soup Cellar is a family orientated,fast casual dining experience. It is Bistro (Order first) style restaurant. We offer a variety of foods, 5 heartwarming soups, 2 homemade Chili's (Red and White), fresh daily salad bar, classic American sandwiches, classic American hot sandwiches, German style brats and sausages, gourmet burgers, and 8 delicious beers on tap. Friday and Saturday nights we offer a savory prime rib buffet.

Upon entering this restaurant we were told to "grab a menu and pick a seat". So, we did. Knowing we were going to order the Prime Rib and salad buffet we waited for someone to come to our table to get us started. After waiting for about 20 min we noticed a small "order here sign". So, we walked up to the counter and ordered two buffets. At this point, we were confused as to why we were told to grab some menus and pick a seat if we needed to order at the counter. After paying over $70 for 2 buffets we approached the food. The prime rib was completely overcooked with the center barely being a medium and the romaine at the salad bar was brown. As we are we watched the guys standing around in the back and not one of them came over to clear a plate. Absolutely, no interaction of any kind after they took our money at the beginning. We watched as 5 tables came in after us, were told the same thing...and left waiting to be served at a table. One table almost walked out when they saw the sign out of the corner of their eye and the table behind us gave up and left. Dessert apparently comes with the buffet, but we were not told how to get the dessert and the only reason we found out was because we asked to speak to a manager. After we spoke to manager they made zero effort to reconcile our complaints, so we ate our dessert and left. The worst dining experience we have ever had by far!

Head down the stairs, place your order, find a seat, and they'll bring it over to you. The steak chili in a breadbowl was absolutely delicious! The breath was warm and very soft and fresh tasting. The brat was just fine, and the potato salad was very good too! Staff was friendly and smiley. They need more tables though. They couldn't clear them off fast enough and different families were sharing. 5 (?) different mustards at each table. Comfortable setting. There's a salad bar too.

The food here isn't quite "Bavarian Style" if that Is what you are looking for, but is quite tasty. Always expect a line to get in if you're coming during the holidays. The wait to get our food was around 25 min. If you order soup then you can get a plate and get some right away.

the place is nice, tried their burgers and it was good, the fries were good as well. broccoli soup is ok. we went during the Xmas lightening festival so the place were so full and packed in a crazy way, the waiting time was not bad, probably 30 mins we were all seated, however the burger took more than 25 mins since they were super busy, but honestly we didn't feel it because we took salads and soup and these ones are self service where you simply can go to the soup and salad bar and take as much as you want. i liked the dollar bills thing they have were they give you some colored pens where you can draw whatever you want on your bill and hang it on the wall, and all of those money are supposed to be used as donations for orphans.

Bit of a wait if you come in at the busy times, but the food is amazing. They serve you as quickly as possible, and make the best fries I've had in a while.
