Great authentic German atmosphere. Service was good and attentive. Great selection of German beers. Menu offers an array of tasty German food. Food quality was very good but, having traveled extensively in Germany, lacked a touch of authenticity. A perfect stop while in Leavenworth.

Great place to go while in Leavenworth and it fills quick. Located below street level you enter to a nice decor with good service. We got both samplers and enjoyed everything. Our favorite part of the meal was the daily soup they had.

The food was very authentic and tasty, and they had a decent selection of good German beers. The wait staff was attentive without hovering and the ambiance really made it feel like you were in a German beer cellar. The only downside of our visit was the lack of air conditioning on a very warm day. Apparently the system had gone down and needed a few hours to reset after being fixed. I can't hold this against them, but I can be upset by the fact that they didn't tell us before we sat down and ordered. It wasn't bad when we got there, but it got progressively warmer as we ate, to the point of being a bit uncomfortable by the time we finished. If we're ever in the area again we'll most certainly stop by to try more of their dishes and beers, but I'll inquire about any building issues before sitting down.

Our waitress was so nice! She was talkative and friendly, and made the place even better. Loved he decorations and the theme of the place. I also loved the man playing the accordion. I didn't like that the women had to dress up in the costumes, but the men who worked there did not. I didn't like that the booths weren't very big, so you could see that bigger people had some space issuers. The food was alright, but it was definitely over priced. I feel like if you are going to charge &25.99 it should be plated a little better and not look like slop.

I had the German style salad with sour cream dressing. That was very good! We tried the black forest cake, it was okay, but a little dry. The service was very fast and friendly! If you like sweet wine ask for their sweet German white wine.
