I had only intended to stay a couple of nights -but the retro 1920-30ish charm, the excellent views and location are worthy of staying longer. If those fail to impress you the staff will convince to love it anyway. The operation and management was smooth and responsive to guest needs, Vicky was warm and made everyone feel at home. Even the cleaning staff was friendly and dbl. checked we had what we needed. After traveling 2000 miles CA to AR this was hands down our favorite place.

I liked this hotel quite a bit.  The staff were friendly.  The Location was awesome.  It had the appearance of a hotel that was let go, but in the process of a revamp.  When I asked about it, I was told new owners had come in and started restoring the place.  The beds were comfortable and I enjoyed my stay.  The prices were even better.  I would come back.  My only complaint was a faint smell but I always smell that in old hotels so it was not unexpected!  I recommend a stay here.

The place could definitely use a bit of updating (replace carpets, another electrical outlet or two and maybe a bit better tv package) but it was basically as expected.  The staff was nice and what you're getting is essentially a good price on Central Ave Bathhouse Row location.  Parking was fine, off-street behind the hotel.  We parked, brought our stuff inside and didn't move the car for two days as we just walked everywhere we went.

* edit* Apparently since they knew the a.c. was out, we got a discount on the room and I didn't notice it at check out. So that was nice of them. Maybe just call and see if the a.c. is working before you book it. **
We picked this place because it was well within our budget, and it looked really cute. Obviously for the price I knew it wasn't going to be super updated or fancy, but I figured it would be a bed, a shower, and an A.C. for after hiking and being outside all day. As soon as we got in the room, we noticed it was stuffy. We called the front desk, they told us it was working "just not at 100%". They gave us a fan, which only kept the warm air rotating. At check out I told them a heads up about the messed up air would have been nice. They told me that they knew it was broke, but it almost got fixed then broke again. The rooms also came with balconies, which was cool. We sat outside with a drink and could people watch since it looked out over a main street.

Great location and beautiful lobby.  Rooms are nice and clean too.  But needs some maintenance here and there as the age is showing through in places
