It was supposed to be an amazing weekend with my boyfriend before he goes back to work again. He's a core driller and is gone a lot so every second with him is important. Our room the first night was awful. We were in the "new remodeled" rooms in the Main casino and the room was awful, it was old and ran down, burns everywhere and hot has hell. We called the front desk and after a full night of dealing with it and sleeping in a sauna! We went down and got the run around to talk to the manager but when we finally did she was super nice and switched us rooms. This room was cleaner and had a much better view of the atrium but again we dealt with the AC not working and maintenance came up to "fix" it but it never changed. We had to sleep with the balcony door open "You share the balcony with all the other rooms on that floor." This made for an interesting and worrisome night. I will NOT ever stay at this casino again.

This hotel had been here pretty much longer than any others. However it still had fairly decent games and an extremely affordable poker tournament during the week. Also live keno. Service is okay, although not what you'd call a 5star place. I'd call it more casual and friendly. It's right on the utah Nevada state line and you'll Have subway and gas stations within walking distance.

Stopped by the Nugget to check it out. I liked the area with the dance floor. There were a lot of different types of people all having a good time. There are dancers and scantily clad waitresses. Kind of fun and different than the other casinos in the area. Don't know that it would be my first choice of places to stay or gamble but I didn't mind hanging out for some drinks.

I have enjoyed coming out to the Nugget in the past. Saturday nights are a blast because of the fun bartenders, dance floor with a live DJ who takes song requests. The dealers are generally fun and the Nugget has been generous with their comps in the past. My experience this weekend wasn't the same. I was really disappointed with my experience trying to get my room booked. I called six separate times to try to book the room. The line was continuously busy. I was also unable to successfully access my VIP information online. My friends successfully booked rooms in the tower. The rooms are long overdue for linen and furniture updates. The hotel could benefit from a better ventilation system, as waking up in a non-smoking room still feels like you spent the night sleeping with a burning cigarette next to your bed. I am very disappointed with the bartender turnover and extremely disappointed that there is no longer a live DJ.

I enjoy going to the Nugget, but the last trip was a bit disappointing, the billiards/games room was closed. And while we were waiting for the bus at the sports bar they started playing music, which was good, REALLY good, and two women were dancing, which was very entertaining, and then off the music goes, right in the middle of a song. They just shut it off, no reason, it was frustrating because there wasn't any other activity to do (yes, gamble, but we already did that). The buffet is always adequate, I enjoy the food, the gambling was good, the gift shop was well stocked, it would be nice if they had more cigars, as they have a cigar bar. Anyway, will rate higher next time, but this time wasn't as fun as normal.
