The entire staff at the Whole Pet is very pleasant to work with. The approach towards optimal health for my dog has been one straddled in utilizing traditional medicine as well as alternative modalities. In sum, there's no ”silver bullet" to every challenge. I am so thankful for this place and would recommend this facility to anyone looking to take a full spectrum approach to caring for their furry companions.

I swear by The Whole Vet and highly recommend them!  I have one dog that has terrible allergies.  We went through extensive testing and failed treatments with multiple vets until we brought her to Dr. SaLee.  After just 2 visits we found the right combination of eastern and western medicine that has her allergies under control.  Another one of my dogs is 15 years old and started having terrible anxiety.  An herbal tincture was provided which turned her back into her old self.  We have 7 dogs of all ages and have done everything including standard wellness visits, laparoscopic spays, dentals, acupuncture, laser, and chiropractic.  I wouldn’t have believed the results we experienced were possible if I didn’t witness them myself!  They are not the least expensive option but they are extremely good, always fit me in when I have emergencies, and feel that they truly care about my dogs as if they were their own. I drive an hour to visit The Whole Vet so they must be worth it!!

We brought our dog there because he had been diagnosed with an inoperable cancer.  We follow the protocol and purchased all of the herbs and minerals suggested by Dr. Tartof.  We came in for monthly visits as needed and the dog received tender care. But when her dog started having problems Dr. Targof was not  available for four days. Our dog died and I truly believe could have been helped to stay with us a little longer if his butt cared enough to at least have a phone call with us as we desperately tried to reach her. The office just kept telling us she would not be in until a certain day which was four days after we made the initial call.  I understand that people need days off but when you are treating a patient that is known to be in a very difficult medical situation it seems they would provide the office with some exceptions to not bothering them on their days off. And one of the days was simply because of snow; I fail to understand why she could not call to help feisty. I do not understand why she could not call to help us get through his decline. I do not understand why the person we trusted with his final care could not be there for him.

Researched vets in the area and chose Whole Pet because they advertised a "holistic approach".  Dropped off my dogs ENTIRE medical history 3 days prior for review (as requested), during the appointment it was obvious that no one had even looked at the records.  Then, after only spending a few minutes with our dog, instead of a "holistic" approach the vet prescribed a pill.  No follow up was discussed and no follow up call was made to see how she was doing (like previous vets did).  More expensive, little time spent with pets and no follow up.
