Great for lunch or happy hours. Has good bit of shaded areas, a wading pool, a small dog park, plenty of seating. Seasonal concerts & yoga. There's still a bit of construction, but it's still nice right now and it'll be perfect once that's done.

Extensive landscapes and wide open spaces.  Plenty of food and drink nearby.  A nice break from the density of NW DC, and gorgeous sunsets!

Nice...   A quite place by the water at lunch, a fun place for the kids to splash when it's hot or a festive place during local events.  A great open space in the developing neighborhood.

Beautiful in the summer time. Many activities. Children can play in the little water pond they built, water only goes up to a childs belly. Kayaking is a great experience, relaxing, also jazz concerts and yoga on certain days. Many food trucks and a parking lot you have to pay for. Lots of space to walk and view the river,see people on their boats having a great time, buy liquor and hang on the grass or in the wooden lawn chairs provided.

This area has come a long way since I was little. Born and raised in DC, I have seen it go through quite a few changes. Hoping these changes will be good for the people and get better for all. Not that many safe places to hang out alone, with friends, or with the family.
