Tried to like this place. Came in wanting one thing for breakfast. Eggs, bacon and hash browns. We got stuck in a corner, which happened to be the one wall shared with the fridge. So it was an incredibly loud, vibrating wall. Not the cozy rest of restaurant. They moved us quickly to something else. Once I checked the menu, I found eggs and bacon, but no hash browns, only country potatoes, their spicier cousins. Never my preferred breakfast potato. When the food arrived, it was OK. Maybe just me, because everyone else loved their french toast and/or pancakes. They never asked if I didn't like my food and I had left 2/3 of my breakfast untouched, so guess we'll never know if anything would have been better. Now I am hungry for breakfast food....

The small cafe is not very busy but do not expect excellent customer service, you are better off going to Red House Cafe for more swift and attentive service. My boyfriend and I walked in we were not greeted right away, we were seated and never asked for our drinks order by the young girl working in the cafe. The young girl was interested in conversing with the kitchen staff than to take orders. The quality of the food is not great it is a basic menu with high prices, nothing fancy or special or allergen conscientious. Quick breakfast, over priced and rude.

Best Eggs Benedict in California! We will drive from Los Angeles there & back just for breakfast. We've been going there since they opened more than 32 years ago! Worth the wait!

Met up with family for Sunday breakfast. The wait wasn't bad, 10-15 minutes. I got the French toast special and it was so good! I love breakfast and I especially love french toast but I guess I am pretty picky as I almost always am disappointed. So it was a pleasant surprise! My eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was really good too. The service was fine.

The prices are surprisingly reasonable here, especially located on the main drag in Pacific Grove. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The gentleman taking drink orders took two later-arriving tables first and was about to ignore us entirely when we reluctantly flagged him down. Then we didn't see our server for at least ten minutes after that. I also noticed a huge amount of food collecting at the pass; there were quite a few other unhappy looking tables. However, the food was really good, they have the Pepper Plant hot sauce that I crave, and the patio is pleasant. Only one shared bathroom.
