Toni Patisserie made absolutely beautiful cakes for our wedding. The wedding cake design was based on my drawing of a gate on the Univ. of Chicago campus and they nailed it! Despite the intricacy of the design, the piping on the cake was perfection and looked exactly like the picture I gave them. Our groom's cake was just as awesome as the wedding cake. My husband, a HUGE Cubs fan, was surprised and ecstatic to see his Wrigley field cake. Decked out with the red sign and Cubs logo, it was a hit with the guests (and subsequently everyone up in Wrigley rooftops the following day when we took the leftovers with us to the game). Toni's did an OUTSTANDING job from planning through to the big day, and we couldn't have been happier with their delicious, beautiful cakes. Thank you!

Ambiance is good but they serve wine in cheap dollar water glass. Not my thing. Quaint. Good for a quick bite and coffee. Terrible washroom facilities after a long walk in cave like dreary halls in bowels of commercial building.

First, the positives: The food and drinks were delicious, We ordered iced and hot coffee, they both tasted like coffee, not overwhelmingly strong, just wonderful flavors. The we had 2 different kinds of hot sandwiches which were both tasty, the food came fast, wonderful staff, warm services! Here is the negative: the cashier Angie was quite rude. I witnessed her being condescending with the customer before me. The sweet girl wanted a breakfast sandwich but it was after 11am, instead of letting the customer know that they were only serving lunches, angie shook her head and didn't say a word, just stared at that customer without any expressions.The poor girl was a bit flustered but figured it herself out quickly. When I ordered our food she was cold, though I didn't let it bother me much. The second time I went back to order a piece of cake and some short breads to go, my husband needed the key to the bathroom, she showed us displeasure, as if answering a simple question was beneath her, and our presence was an inconvenience. I would still recommend this cafe because the experience overall was excellent. Though I wanted to share this and hope here will be improvement in the future. The position of the cashier is extremely important, she is the face of the restaurant, every customer that comes to order goes through her, and her lack of professionalism did leave a bad taste for us. The rest of the staff were quick and well trained, the food superb, but I can only give Toni's a 4 star for now.

A little overrated IMO. Service was good and quick, ambiance is very nice (two words: French and bougie), and the macaroons were lovely. But the soup was cold, my plate had a stain, and the sandwich I had (boeuf on baguette) was just OK. Kitchen was also quite loud too, but I know this is hard to avoid given the layout of the restaurant. Overall, I'd really only come here for the ambiance or a quick bite. Food (other than the macaroons) didn't really seem worth their price.

Literally my favorite little place in the city! I am not kidding, I love bringing everyone that visits me to this little cafe. Makes me feel like I am back in France. The atmosphere is so pleasant and the food is very good as well. I love coming in and getting a coffee and a little pastry and just chatting with my friends and family.
