I love Top Hops! The best feature, in my opinion, is the fact that they sell "packed goods" but, for a small fee, you can drink your beers right there in the shop. They also have great beers on tap. My only gripe is that there is always a shortage of chairs and service is a little slow, although everyone who works there is really sweet.

Beer lovers rejoice. This is a gem. Warm welcome in a sweet set up, accompanied by a vast selection of world beers. Good nibbles from the local market are available, perfect place to spend a few hours tapping into the knowledge and barrels provided.

Apparently, they think it's cool to advertise beer that they can't even get their hands on. For example, saw trillium on a shelf that said favorites, and was told that they don't distribute into New York in the most unwelcoming way possible by a douche slit that worked there. Ok guy.

Another great find in the lower East side. Before I had even ordered a beer at the bar I was offered a few samples as well as a free beer due to a previous mis-pour. Extensive bottle selection with much of it in coolers and a rapidly rotating draft selection with frequently cleaned tap lines. They also offer half pours of the larger servings.

I'm officially in love with craft beer. Two years ago I would walk in and right out of a bar that didn't serve wine or liquor. Now look at me. Anything is possible. The BF & I have been to almost every craft beer bar in Manhattan and I have to say Top Hops is my favorite. The location is more spacious than most beer shoppes and the people who run it are great. The tap menu is constantly rotating and we can almost always find something we like to drink. Better yet, they have a large and beautiful selection of bottled & canned beers that can keep you entertained for a while. One of the only beer bars in Manhattan that will allow you to drink the bottled/canned beers from the 'shoppe' section for just a $2 or $3 cap fee! They even have a nice selection of snacks to purchase and better yet.. complimentary & somewhat unlimited sourdough pretzels! Top Hops is awesome and highly recommended for any beer lovers out there!
