A great place to shop (especially for holidays and special occasions), take a stroll, and check out creative ideas.  There are many vendors on three levels, featuring all sorts of styles and types of artwork on display and for sale.  It's located at the river walk near King Street, so you can get great food and ice cream around the corner too!

This place was really nice due to the fact that in my opinion it caters to those who are really creative when it comes to art.  There's a great mix of artists who come up with some amazing art work, photos and other types too.  Right on the Potomac river waterfront, you have access to some nice restaurants, great shops (downtown Alexandria) and access to the water taxi - a 25 min ride to both the national harbor and Washington DC

I've been here a handful of times and enjoy the scenery, art, and crafts shared and sold here. There's always something to see, though not always something to buy. I know the artists work very hard at their craft and deserve recognition. I like to come here alone or with a  friend.

Wow! Last minute recommendation from a friend and wonderful way to spend an hour or two. Wander through the different studios and you might even find a little trinket or big art purchase! Fun, cultured, and FREE!

A must place to go if you are an art lover,  do take some extra time to visit the Torpedo Factory.  Each of the shop has it's own unique style and it displays the imagination of the artists.  It would not be wrong if they claim to be the largest collection of publicly accessible working art studios in the United states of America. The best part of the place you get to meet the artists directly discuss things with them your ideas and watch them work.  You can have your own original collections when you purchase the art.
