Story

Established in 1973
Today's Cargo originally started out by selling gold chains on a card table at Oronoco Park in Old Town Alexandria. Gladys Irvin, founder, would sell these at the flea market on Saturdays. Having been a wife of a man in the military, they lived in several countries in Asia for some time. She maintained her relationships with several of the jewelers she had met over there. They would send her packages in the mail every few weeks. So….she never really knew what she would be selling on Saturdays until she received her shipments. Thus, Today's Cargo was born.
