Went there on Thursday with reservations made, so no wait. There were some parking spots on Darlington avenue next to it, so it’s good. The pizza and pasta were good as well as seafood and beef. The best items are the desserts, esp the tiramisu and the different pies- they could mix them into one plate and charge a much lower price. The vibe is chilled and the staff are very friendly. A bit chilly to sit outside even in July but heater will be provided. A great option for date night or business dinner.
Authentic Italian flavors, wonderful table service, amazing cocktails, warm ambiance with the open fire oven, and nice people all around. Loved the mushrooms appetizer off-menu, stunning Branzino over the fresh veggies, and delicious tiramisu. Thanks so much for the general manager for outstanding service throughout our classic Italian dinner at Toscana.
I have been coming here for so many years and this is hands down my favorite Italian restaurant outside of Italy. It can be hard to find authentic Italian food and this is it! I crave their spaghetti, the sauce is exactly like my Nonna used to make it, thanks Toscana!
Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I have had in my life. The waitress acted like a stuck up strict teacher by lecturing us on very simple things on the menu and, in general, speaking very monotoned and annoyed. I understand that working in the service industry is exhausting but there is no excuse for her behavior. The Pollo al Mattone is a large portion which is great but is heavily under salted and underseasoned. The Pappardelle ai Funghi literally tastes like boiled mushroom water. There was no salt nor creaminess even though there was mascarpone and parmigiano reggiano allegedly in the sauce. The Risotto Primavera was not bad a little bland but it came with italian sausage even though this is a vegetarian dish. I had made it clear to the waitress earlier that I do not eat pork and so she took it back. After 15-20 minutes, I received my risotto again only for the rice to be absolutely raw. At that point, I had waited 40 minutes for mediocre food so I just asked that the waitress cancel the order. They brought a cheesecake as an apology for the mishap and said that the kitchen never makes mistakes even though 3 out of the 4 dishes we ordered were lackluster at best. The cheesecake was ok but I will add that it is very hard to make a bad cheesecake. The main issue with the cheesecake was its small portion, its lack of creaminess and its lack of flavor it was not a little tart as expected from cheesecake. The danishes on the side of the cheesecake was good though. I gave this place two stars instead of one because I bet there are dishes that are good on the menu. For example, the Spaghetti Pomodoro is tasty but at the same time, the crazy prices make a lot of the menu not worth it.
Top shelf experiencreThis is the classic expensive Santa Monica/Brentwood upscale Italian restaurant with all the great features that come with places in this class. Everything is festive, delicious, the rooms and bar are beautiful, most of the staff is Italian and fun to listen to when they tell you the specials. The food is very straightforward, in season and simply prepared, which I love because they really let the natural flavors stand out. I recommend the pastas and salads over the mains if you don't want to be stuffed to the gills. The mains are huge, so if you're a big eater that may be the way to go. I took mine home because there was at least a pound of branzino left. Valet parking, but also street parking if you prefer.
My food was 3 orders and the restaurant is 4 blocks away all my food not just one part was too cold to eat. Their courier was ride when I asked about charges, I was charged 3 times all different prices . Scam on delivery set but Toscana is a repu business so I thought . This muc St be recognized
Had a terrible experience. First of all, the service was slow and the young woman not so friendly. Somewhat rude. I ordered a artichoke salad and asked to put in some arugula. I give it a TT rating which is Totally Tasteless. Three times I asked what kind of dressing, the said olive oil. There was no olive oil, no salt, no pepper no taste. The artichokes were raw and julienned and tasted like cardboard.
Amazing cuisine with a friendly staff Who are quick with a good wine pairing or recommend a special. With an open kitchen where you can watch them make your pizza flip the dough or check out their homemade pastas you'll enjoy the show. Seems to be good for small to mid-size parties with easy valet parking. Definitely recommend giving in a shot whether it be lunch or dinner

The service is very good. Food ok. Nothing unforgettable. Atmosphere is too loud. Its a big space. No outdoor sitting. So tables are very close and the noise is too much. Hard to here each other. Not too big place. Great for stopping by but there's better italian food not too far
