Let me start off by saying I try to support black businesses when I can........but this place right here...NO! When I arrived for my service I had to ring the doorbell because no one was there and the door was not open. I had to wait for someone to arrive. Then, once inside I did not feel welcomed. I felt like I was bothering them for daring to show up at my appointment. Then, I was given a towel to put on which in my opinion did not appear to be clean, had stains and felt very nasty. It appeared to have stains on it like from a prior wax. I just have the overall impression that this place was not very clean and therefore when I left I had to immediately go home and take a hot shower and disinfect myself. Yes the owner has been there are over 20 years but the service has failed tremendously and cleanliness is a huge factor with a spa. I cannot imagine whoever is going here for any type of Yoni treatment. In my opinion (1) the place is not very clean (2) they reuse dirty towels and (3) it's just not healthy. This place seriously needs to be raided by health inspector. A spa should have a plethora of clean, soft & comfortable towels. I should not feel nasty after I leave because of the service I received. And any towels that have permanent stains that cannot come out of the towel need to be discarded !!!!!! I will have to try and find another black owned spa business to support because this one is definitely not getting another dime of my money!

I has lved this place, but the turn over in staff is crazy. Today, I had an appointment @ 3PM, at 2:45PM I received a call from them asking me about a 2PM. I explained that the appointment time is 3:00, which which was saved to my phone. I ask if that is the case what can we do now, or how to resolve this. I really needed the services. She said, she will call me back in 5 minutes, we keep driving to their location. The call back states, she would move the 3pm person back and see me. So I got there and was explained that I may not received all the services I wanted, but I must pay cash in advance. And she will reimburse me for what services not rendered. I don't understand and that didn't make any since to me. She had an attitude, so I walked out. Do not be disappointed.

We had no trouble finding the spa and actually got a parking spot close to the front door. I was surprised to find the door locked when we tried to enter, not sure what that was about. The environment was sparse, but beautiful. There were 2 run of the mill, almost cold chairs. I would have like to have seen soft, beautiful seating to match the style of the salon. The staff was friendly and offered us a wonderful glass of cinnamon ginger water. We didn't wait and were taken right back. It was quiet, nice background music, and the spaces were separated by cloth strung from the ceiling. My massage was wonderful! She adjusted the pressure to suit me and I felt great!! I will go again and have no reservation suggesting Total Serenity to others.

My first time ever writing a review, but I had to share my experience about this place. I scheduled myself and my friend an appointment for a "yoni steam" aka a vagina steam. When scheduling two people you have to put a deposit down. The deposit was made and my appointment was set. The day of my appointment, I was outside along with my friend ringing and knocking on the door for 5 minutes in the cold. I literally had to call for someone to come open the door. Once inside, a gentleman took our coats and said someone will be right with us. Another gentleman whom clothes looked "ruffled" and "unclean" came and brought us our flip flops (so we can remove our shoes). The flip flops looked dirty and faded. It was barely a sole on the flip flop. We declined to put them on. The same guy who with the "ruffled" clothing, was the same guy preparing us for this "yoni steam". The guy took us in the room where the steam would take place (mind you, our appointment was at 4pm and we did not get to the back until 4:40-4:45p); we also wanted to know were the seats (the seats that we would sit on to receive our steam) cleaned prior to us coming (we asked because the flip flops were dirty and the chairs that we were going to sit on, were sitting in the front room on display--- just covering all basis). The owner comes in and say, "I mean, if you have a problem with how things are being ran, you don't have to spend your little $70"! I instantly get upset & decided not to spend my little $70, due to the owners aggressive attitude. She stated, "I've been here for 20 years and never had a problem". With all that being said, she also tried to decline us our little deposit. Now, I understand why this place has 2 stars. There was no one at the receptionist desk the entire time, they gave us dirty flip flops to put our feet in, one of the employee clothes was wrinkled and nasty like he got them out of the hamper, the owner attitude was very nasty. If I could give this place a .5 I would.. & a .5 because it actually looks nice once you get in.. But that's it! I would never recommend this place to no one!
