Eclectic street food in a small new england town. Lots of interesting choices from around the world, carefully and expertly prepared to take away to beautiful places on Mount Desert. Both veggies and carnivores can find joy and peace here.

If you're on your 5th night on MDI and can't fathom going into Bar Harbor once again for an expensive but average dinner, then make reservations from the Town Hall Bistro. The food is excellent, and prepared very well. The wine list is large, and the staff is gracious and friendly. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, even on a cold, foggy evening. Simply put, my wife and I easily had our most enjoyable night out at this establishment. But this is more than just a "better than average" restaurant; the Town Hall Bistro would still stand tall against competition of a much higher caliber than what is to be found in Bar Harbor.

I found this place's atmosphere to be crowded and sticky-not clean at ALL and the owner was extremely arrogant and outright RUDE. The menu was nice but the portions were so small they did not warrant the price bracket either. There are way too many wonderful restaurants in the area that are cleaner and have a staff that APPRECIATES the business-this staff acted like they were doing you a favor serving you and owner acted like he was the only choice in town with the way he treated people-it was really disgusting to see this attitude but even worse was how disgustingly DIRTY this place was-YUCK! NOT recommended AT ALL.
