TQ Diamonds, located in Madison, WI, specializes in high quality custom designed jewelry and ideal cut diamonds. The unique jewelry pieces that are found in the store are either handmade on the premises or hand chosen from some of the most exclusive jewelry designers around the world.

TQ Diamonds exclusively represents jewelry designers such as Steven Kretchmer Tension Settings, Verragio, Tacori, Christian Bauer Wedding Rings, and many others.

Along with the stunning jewelry, TQ Diamonds also carries one of the largest selections of AGS Certified Triple 0 Ideal Cut diamonds in the area. Ideal Cut diamonds are the most beautiful diamonds in the world and each one is hand selected for our inventory.

When I was looking for engagement rings for wife, I searched around the Madison area for the best-rated shops and narrowed it down to a few (TQ being one of them). I thought, "no way this 4.9-star review could be legit, but I'll check it out." The reviews were telling the truth, and if I could give more than a 5-star review I would. Ted was phenomenal to work with through the entire process. He provided me an incredible education on diamonds and settings, and never made me feel like he was "selling" me anything (I can't say the same about other places in Madison). In fact, while I was shopping around (and told him), he still ordered a ring so it would arrive in time for my proposal, even though I might not buy the ring from TQ. In his mind, the money it cost him to order the setting and have it available was worth the investment so I would have it in time, if I decided to buy from him. That thoughtfulness immediately let me know TQ was the company to go with. After many months of resizing, cleaning, soldering, de-soldering, and other interactions, TQ and Ted continue to be among the best companies I have ever worked with, regardless of the industry. They are a model for customer service, and I highly recommend them to any friends and family looking for jewelry.

I purchased my engagement set from Kay- which was a huge mistake to begin with. After one day of wearing it, one of my main diamonds became loose. I guess it happens right? I took it into Kay because I purchased the warranty as well. The disrespect I received made me want to put my ring in the box and not even wear it (to keep the stone from getting lost). They told me it would be 2 weeks to get it fixed. Absolutely not. I did some research and found TQ. I called ahead asking about the express same day service they offer, and if I could bring my ring in. They said yes. I drove from about 45 minutes away to take it there. After the experience I had with Kay I was hesitant about any jeweler. Sally, the store manager, put me to ease. I haven’t felt more comfortable at a jewelry store ever. She wasn’t trying to sell me on anything. She listened to exactly what I said and responded appropriately. She saw I was scared and afraid of leaving my ring, and she even brought out the goldsmith that would be working on my jewelry to talk to me. Again, someone else who made me feel not only welcomed, but like my jewelry was precious, even though I didn’t purchase it there. I decided to leave it and was called after about 3 hours with it being ready. They explained exactly what was done, checked all of the diamonds in both of my rings (I have A LOT), cleaned them and handed them to me. I am finally wearing the ring that I was so excited to have. AND the best part- it only costed half of what they quoted. They have earned a customer for life. I will always take my jewelry there from this moment forward, and will now only purchase from them as well. I have started the process to add another band already, and couldn’t be more excited. I highly recommend them. I am a very skeptical person, I don’t trust very many people. But, if I ever had to leave my ring somewhere again, that is the only place it is going. Their repair process from beginning to end, along with their customer service is superior to any jewelry store I have been to. By the way- all of their repairs are done in house, by very experienced and knowledgeable goldsmiths.

I got an engagement ring custom designed at TQ Diamonds, and I could not be more happy. I worked with Tom and Laurie, the goldsmith. Tom was incredibly attentive and made sure that I would get exactly what I wanted. He even reminded me of details I forgot to mention when I talked with Laurie. Throughout the process, he was incredibly accommodating, patient and helpful, and never pushy. Laurie was also amazing. She worked through all the details of the ring with me, and she knew exactly what is and isn't possible and what the best way to accomplish certain details is, and made sure to explain it to me in detail so I could make the best choices. Even with my at best poor descriptions she got it to look exactly how I imagined it - better in fact. The ring turned out perfect - thanks Tom and Laurie!

My fiancé and I worked with Sally to pick out my engagement ring. She was welcoming and helpful, and we didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. We ended up deciding to get a ring custom-made from some pictures of what I liked, and Sally really listened to what we wanted, made the process very easy, and kept us updated from start to finish. And, at the end, my ring came out perfect! Exactly what I'd been imagining. I would definitely recommend TQ Diamonds, and plan to come back myself when it's time to pick out wedding bands.

My fiance chose TQ Diamonds because of their reputation of being a flexible and low-pressure jeweler. They have won Best Jeweler in Madison Magazine's Best of Madison for several consecutive years. We worked with Jessica Chavers for the entire engagement ring experience. We had a unique design in mind and were struggling the find our vision in the store. We decided to have a custom engagement ring made. Jessica helped us through the entire process from figuring out what cut of diamond to get, the type of metal that would compliment the stone as well as what setting would look best. For convenience, we preferred to communicate via email. Jessica was always prompt with responses and sent us several diamond options, ring sketches and CAD drawings. We couldn't have been more happy with how this unique ring turned out. Thanks so much Jessica and TQ Diamonds for the personal and stress-free experience!
