"George and Kris Hansford opened the first Trainwreck Saloon in Rock Hill, Missouri, July 2,1982. Dating back to 1890; the Trainwreck in Rock Hill is considered to be the oldest continually operated tavern in St. Louis County. A second Trainwreck Saloon opened April 1, 1991 at West Port Plaza. This location has expanded three times and now contains 2 antique bars, a large dining area and a stage for live music. The Trainwreck Saloon continues to be a popular destination for lunch, dinner, happy hour and live music. Thank you for your patronage. We hope you enjoy your visit. Casual bar setting. Good food, pleasant service and live entertainment on a Thursday night. Toasted ravioli was delicious. Seasoned fries are very salty - they’re very good, and I’d get them again, but just be prepared. Our only issue was with the hostess since she didn’t seem to want seat anyone in the front by the musician, which was interesting. We had to ask and she still seemed hesitant.
An above average burger with decent fries. It is great that they have a grass fed and bison option. Be warned that the wait can be up to 45 minutes during their rushes. Furthermore, there are only 3 levels of wellness that they will cook your burger to. Service was limited but that was likely due to how busy they were.
It was awesome here thwy had a few nice deals and they cooked our steaks perfectly. The wings were great also. I enjoyed the live band and our waitress was good at her job too. Great experience
Solid 4+ restaurant location for Monday night’s happy hour evening and tasty, crunchy-skin wings. People in our party ordered the beef sandwich, a bun-less hamburger, bacon and cheese sandwich along with cottage cheese and chicken Caesar salad. Very tasty after a long day of work and great place to relax with good selection of beverages.
Yummy, got the burger. Not thrilled Onion, lettuce, tomato come extra, $1 a pop. Live band was cool, very loud! Could turn the speakers down.. it’s in a good little location. Walking distance from hotel. Prices aren’t complainable, but come ready to spend a good amount
Met here for happy hour. Spent too much time talking to take food photos but the toasted ravs and cheese curds were tasty. I’ll look forward to trying it again.
We ordered the Spring Salad with Grilled Chicken and Chili Cheeseburger. The lettuce and all the fixings were fresh and the grilled chicken was tender and tasty. The Chili Cheeseburger was phenomenal. The fries were freshly made because they were hot.
Had so much fun there! The band was fantastic! We loved their music selection! I love the wood bar and walls. Very comfortable feel. Great menu selection with a big variety of options that are reasonably priced. Great for a first date!
It was my regular to go place. They have great food and drinks. But today, I had one of the worst customer service ever in any restaurant. Our server was Sandy who was so rude while greeting us. Then while filing our drinks she took a sip of our drink and try to serve us the same cup. I literally saw it with my eyes. Glad that my table was straight to drinks station. I mean whats wrong with people. Who would treat your customer like that. Just because you are having a bad day doesn’t give you right to treat your customer like that. I had to confront her which was so awkward. Gladly manager handle it well and gave us new server Rosy who was so sweet and honest to her job. I am sad that I will miss this place but I don’t feel safe and healthy eating out there anymore as long as server like her with that attitude and such work ethics works there.
Disappointed I am writing this. I used to really enjoy the food but my last two experiences have done it in. I ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich with fries and a toasted ravioli app. First ravioli in was empty with what might have just been hard cheese or plastic. Considering they have a meat filling, it's hard to say it is cheese. My sandwich left a lot to be desired. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery. Seemed to be slapped on a grill for marks, finished in the microwave, and slapped with sauce. An unfortunate turn for me, I used to truly enjoy going here for lunch. Hopefully it turns around.
