HORRIBLE PATIENT CARE. ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT GOSSIP AT THE NURSE'S STATION. RUDE PATIENT CHECK IN. JAMIE AT PATIENT ACCOUNTS IS THE WORST!!!! TOTAL DISREGARD FOR PATIENTS OR THEIR FAMILY. COLD HEARTED NON COMPASSIONATE AND VERY UN FRIENDLY!!!! HOPE TO NEVER HAVE TO GO THERE AGAIN.

The first time I went to emergency for a sprang ankle--I didn't have to wait too long here but they stuck me in what almost seemed like a broom closet: a dark, corner room over crowded with equipment. The nurse that came in wasn't sure why they put me there but never moved me to a better room. Emergency not crowded with patients on this night as far as I could see. I waited for a very long time in thisroom. Once I was seen the care I received was fine. Second time I took my husband there, they did very little but charged MUCH. We're still trying to pay two bills: one from the doctor (saw him for 5 minutes) and for a prescription ($267 bill) and the other from the hospital ($300-some odd). Maybe you get through emergency so quickly because everyone else knows to go to a better hospital.

Spouse came through the ER and ended up being admitted to the ICU, then the 6th floor (total stay was a week). Found the ER to be quick and responsive. The ICU had mostly caring and attentive nurses. The hospitalist was thorough and took the time to listen to concerns and answer questions. The care on the floor was lacking a little- sometimes not attentive as I would imagine they should be, but nothing horrible. Discharge took forever... waiting and waiting for the final okay to go. All rooms were clean and had adequate space. The cafeteria had a decent variety of food for a reasonable price. Overall, we felt he got good care. I wouldn't come here for a life and death issue but for a semi-major to minor concern, this is a great hospital.
