Boxes I packed, know exactly what they look like and what's in them, were not delivered. Three separate boxes, to be exact! Of all the boxes I labeled, there were only two that said, "DO NOT STACK." Three very heavy boxes were on top of one of them. I haven't submitted the appropriate forms yet for reimbursement, thus the 2 stars, for hope!

Horrible, horrible place. They picked my furniture up on September 14th from North Carolina. I moved to Tacoma, Washington and it has been almost 3 weeks and I still haven’t received my furniture. It was supposed to be delivered no later than October 2nd. I’ve called, they said they need to call the delivery driver and I get no call back, what kind of so called “company” does that? Would not recommend this place, I am pissed, they suck. Wish I could give them 0 stars. *Update Turns out, they haven’t even moved my furniture from North Carolina. The delivery driver that was supposed to transfer my furniture to Washington didn’t. They had to get a new driver, they had no clue. She didn’t even know where my things were. She finally called and said my things will not be her until next week, but she doesn’t know the exact date. **October 13 and I just received my furniture!!

Tru-Pak Moving charged me $500.00 for a shuttle that was not used. When I asked for a credit, I was told that I was not charged for the shuttle, even though the charge was clearly indicated on the estimate. I made a Better Business Bureau claim, to which Tru-Pak responded that the $500.00 charge in question was for the shuttle, which clearly confirms that I was charged $500.00 for a shuttle that was NOT used. In addition, Tru-Pak Moving damaged my night table, and refuses to have it repaired. Upon reporting the damage to Tru-Pak, the Executive Vice President, wrote: “Tru-Pak Moving Systems Inc. are always displeased when a customer is less than completely satisfied with the shipment of his or her household good after transit.” The letter included instructions for completing an attached claim form. I went to the trouble to complete the claim form and take photos, as instructed. I even sent the completed form and a letter by certified mail with a return receipt. The response that I received was that Tru-Pak is not responsible for repairing my night table because I did not report the damage upon delivery at the storage unit. Tru-Pak knew that I did not discover the damage until moving my furniture out of the storage unit when they sent the instructions and claim form for filing.

My company had asked me to move from North Carolina to California. They had me an amount to help with the move in hopes of making the transition as smooth as possible. I chose Tru-Pak because of a personal relationship my girlfriend had with one of their employees. Thus, against my better judgment, I did not compare quotes and services of any other companies. This ended up being one of my poorest experiences with a customer services based company I have ever encountered. Upon receiving the initial quote, I asked every pertinent question I could think of and presented every negative scenario that could play out. All of which, I was promised would be covered and was encompassed into the agreement I was given. I was originally told it would take 10-14 days to travel across the country. Therefore, I did my best to plan accordingly. I termed my lease in NC trying to give myself adequate time to meet their crew in Los Angeles. However, it ended up taking them the full 14 days and their internal team told me my things would be arriving two days earlier than when they finally showed up. Thus, I sped across country to accommodate their schedule, which in turn led to the expenditure of two nights in a hotel. I was also told they would be charging me an additional $600 to have my things unloaded from a semi-truck to a U-Haul because they did not believe they could park the Semi close enough to our apartment. This is when my frustration kicked in and I addressed the issue with the Sales Rep. whom told me this charge was not justified because I was given a guaranteed quote. However, she could not go on record saying that. In other words she was going to let me take the charge if they could not in fact park a “Semi-Truck” in a residential area (which is completely unpractical in the first place and I was never told my things would be transferred from the original truck to a semi). Luckily they were able to park the truck “close enough” to my apartment to not charge the additional $600. Lastly, upon arrival my television screen was completely shattered. You would think the first response would be an apology, but instead they instantly started to blame other members of their moving team because no one wanted to take responsibility. The supervisor of the crew called the Owner, whom they all continuously told me how wealthy this man was, and he had promised to replace the television in a timely fashion. Now, two months later, the only accomplishment has been finding a comparable T.V. at half the cost I originally paid. The original check that was issued was made out to the wrong persons and did not include the 9.5% state sales tax which they agreed to pay. To this day I have still not been made whole. Needless to say, I would never recommend this company to anyone and I will not be surprised if they are sued somewhere down the road by someone whom has the money and time to do so.
