I was a member of this place before it became TruStone, when it was the credit union for teachers (my mom was a teacher). When TruStone bought them out it's been not very good at all. The corporate group are utterly incompetent. I still keep a small bit of money with them to take advantage of the fixed-rate credit card, but that's about it. I moved to USAA as my primary bank in 2010. The online banking is truly a nightmare. I haven't used a branch location of any bank since the late 1990s. These people have no idea what they're doing. I changed my password following the Equifax hack (manually) and it locked me out of my account saying they couldn't verify my identity, so, for my protection, they denied access. This is so unbelievably irritating and unnecessary. This happens every time I do this. You know what shutting down access says to would-be cyber criminals? That the back-end servers are not remotely secure at all and are ripe for the picking. I mean, if I were looking to steal data, I'd put this place at the top of my list simply for how they handle online security -- if it's THAT extreme, you know they're vulnerable. Why don't they just incorporate 2-factor authentication like a real bank? Why do I need to get locked out, create a subject line for my own password reset link, and then wait for them? It defeats the purpose of ONLINE BANKING, does it not??? The corporate team at TruStone should really all be fired and replaced with people who know what they're doing. Truly. The people running this place don't deserve to have jobs. There's no excuse for making it such a headache getting into YOUR OWN ACCOUNT.

These people kept me on their books for over 7 years with no activity, and with only $6.48 in the account. I had moved, and withdrew almost all the money. The only reason I kept it open, was the hassle, and the $2,000 life insurance for members. I then thought if they were that persistent, I would send them $500 to deposit in savings. They were great, and spent a bunch of time helping me to set an on-line banking account. I do not think I could ask more of a credit union. They have some great people working there.

If no stars was an option I would take. They don't return calls or emails to their own clients. As a realtor, truly the worst lender I have ever had to work with.
