Story

Twin Farms is a unique country estate get-away for all seasons situated on over three hundred acres of wildflower meadows, hardwood forests, ancient gardens and private ponds in Barnard, Vermont, just ten miles north of picturesque Woodstock. The original 1795-era farmhouse and lodge have been converted into gracious living and dining rooms, plus six elegant guest suites. Ten freestanding guest cottages, each with their own interior design style, are dotted about the property, The Farmhouse at Copper Hill provides an additional four suites.

Since opening in 1993 Twin Farms has upheld a tradition of graceful hospitality and quiet beauty. For those tired of ostentation, Twin Farms offers simplicity and understated elegance. Guests enjoy the use of a handsome pub, full fitness center, spa treatment facility, lakeside cabana and a Japanese-style Furo. Four seasons of on-site recreation and equipment, ground transfer from area airports, outstanding cuisine and fine wines are included in our base rates.

The 20 accommodations of Twin Farms are comprised of ten Suites in The Main House, Lodge and The Farmhouse at Copper Hill and ten individual free-standing cottages privately situated on our three hundred country side acres. The architecture of Twin Farms honors the classic New England tradition in building and design, every structure serene and balanced. Exteriors of stone and pine, maple and brick evoke the classic Vermont Cape-style farmhouse.

All accommodations share the same high level of amenity including wood burning fireplaces, spacious bathrooms with separate tub and shower, a full line of Out of the Woods, Twin Farms hand blended bath and body products, dressing area, High-Speed Wireless Internet access, Satellite television, fully stocked refrigerator with coffee and tea service and seasonal snacks. Our beds are made up with featherbeds, down pillows and comforters, and the finest linens by Anichini and The Purists.
