I would strongly advise NOT to use this company for your moving needs. My husband and I used them the week after our wedding to move into our first home. Unfortunately, during the transportation, our TV had extensive damage. I was frustrated as one of the movers was on the phone texting during the move, so I assume it was not properly packed. In speaking with Joe, the operations manager, he said they would take our TV and determine if it can be repaired or not. I then received an email saying that the TV is valued per pound as per our paperwork, and a TV that was well over $1,000 would only be valued at $18. Joe did offer to reimburse us $250 to buy a new TV. I asked him to reconsider, as it was less than 25% of what the TV cost, however, I have received NO response in the last 6 weeks. My phone calls have not been returned, and we never received the $250 reimbursement. I'm shocked that their slogan 'movers who care' as this could not be further than the truth. The movers were careless; they damaged the most expensive item in our house, never reimbursed us and now will not return my calls or emails.

(previous reviews can be disregarded, this JUST happened) TLDR version: Terribly work ethic, and they don't hesitate to charge more than agreed to; don't use them. -Stalled during the move (took 75% longer then usual; and more specifically, they took 5 times as long to unload as it took to load), -then charged an additional $75 on top of the already overcharged (due to stalling) amount. Will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. *************************************************************************** May have been decent in the past, but they're scam artists now . I have used this company many times in the past and was always impressed with how good and professional they WERE--till our latest experience. In the past they completed the job in just over 2 hours. The first time I moved I was living on the second floor in my apartment and moved into a studio that was above a detached garage (Both location had stair cases). The second time I moved, I used their service again. They moved my things out of the studio (that had stairs) into a storage unit (that had no stairs-ground level). Between the last time I used their service and this time, there was no change in my inventory. It took 30 minutes to load everything from my storage unit into their truck. However it took them TWO-AND-A-HALF HOURS to unload the truck (that's 5 times as long). Once they arrived to the new location we did a walk through (that way there would be no confusion and everyone was on the same page), I showed them where the elevator was and the nearest stair case, they chose to use the stairs. The apartment is a secure building (You can only enter with a key fob) so my boyfriend waited by the door at the bottom of the stairs to let them in, while I waited upstairs to hold the door to our apartment open. My BF and I were on the phone with each other during this process to maintain communication- The movers questioned me repeatedly regarding where to set an item down, (It was… "put it there. No just set it down. No I don't care about that I'll do it later. JUST PUT IT DOWN.") After the first few trips they disappeared…. I told my BF that the movers had just left and were on their way back down, (three minutes later my BF asked where they were)--they had gone out the long way and around the building—apparently to find the elevator...(From that point on they were done with the stairs and only used the elevator). When I came down to the lobby to see what the delay was I noticed that a my personal possession had just been left it in front of the elevator (About 7 boxes- not strapped to a dolly or stacked up and out of the way). If someone had come down that elevator they would have been blocked in, or possibly injured (we have a lot of residents with walkers and canes; our maintenance team was unimpressed). I ended up moving the boxes that was carelessly left in front of the elevator all by myself. Towards the end (for about the last hour) my BF helped them unload the truck (Because they asked for his help)….I still had to pay the movers for a total of 3 ½ hours $425.95 later. Later I checked my bank account and noticed that they had been overcharged me (in addition to the extra hour they stole by stalling. We could have had half of our stuff unpacked in the extra time they took moving it in) by $75. When told the story, they refused to address the behavior of their employees, or refund her for the stolen time.

Update: according to the BBB, this business is already permanently closed. DON'T USE them. TLDR version: Terribly work ethic, and they don't hesitate to charge more than agreed to; don't use them. -Stalled during the move (took 75% longer then usual; and more specifically, they took 5 times as long to unload as it took to load), -then charged an additional $75 on top of the already overcharged (due to stalling) amount on the paperwork. Will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. May have been decent in the past, but they're scam artists now. My girlfriend previously raved about how good they WERE--till our latest experience. Every time she used their service previously, they completed the job in just over 2 hours. Between the last time she used their service and this time, there was no change in her inventory. It took 30 minutes to load everything from her storage into the truck. It took them TWO-AND-A-HALF HOURS to unload the truck (that's 5 times as long). The movers questioned her repeatedly regarding where she told them to set an item down (I was on the phone with her, it was "put it there. no just set it down. no I don't care about that i'll do it later. Put it down. JUST PUT IT DOWN.") Before they started moving she showed them the elevator, they chose to use the stairs. Then they disappeared between trips (I was waiting by the truck, she told me they were leaving the room, three minutes later I asked where they were)--they had gone out the long way and around the building to--apparently (they didn't say why)--scout out the location before moving closer to the elevator. I ended up helping them at the end--I had thought I wasn't supposed to because of the paperwork, but when one of them asked me "you wanna get that" I jumped in because of the stress they were putting on my GF by taking so long. Before they asked if I wanted to help my girlfriend had moved a stack of her stuff. They had left it in the lobby in front of the elevator. If someone had come down that elevator they would have been blocked in. She later checked her bank account and she had been overcharged (in addition to the extra hour they stole by stalling. We could have had half of our stuff unpacked in the the extra time they took moving it in) by $75. We WILL be contacting the BBB on Monday. edited: clarified in short version that they added $75 above the amount they wrote on the paperwork--as in, when questioned, they could not account for the additional charge--they don't know why it happened.

Movers did a wonderful job and moved everything with the utmost care! The only reason why I have rated them with 3 stars is due to the fact that they charge for insurance and never disclosed that until they got to my house and I had to move that day. Beware of all the fine print. Nothing was wrong with the employees work because the two guys were super nice and friendly. I wouldn't use them again though due to not disclosing insurance is included in the cost of the move like every other company.

Communications leading up to and during the move was excellent. Kelly and Michael were on time and outstanding, handling everything with a can-do attitude, and a genuine desire to make my move as painless for me as possible. They even finished the job more quickly than originally estimated! No foot-dragging or time-padding here. I would call on Two Men and A Truck to help with a move again, without hesitation.
