I tried to consolidate my debt with this company years ago, and it was one of the worst decisions I could have possibly made financially and for my credit. When I was in my early 20s, I ran up up some debt and thought trying to consolidate my debt and negotiate with my creditors through this company would help me climb back to a better place. 

I paid mostly payments of about 200 plus their 40 maintenance fee for 2 years or so, which would have been more than enough to pay off all of the debt that I owed in full, let alone if they had negotiated my debt down with my creditors as I was led to believe they were doing for the 40 extra I was paying them a month. 

I was told that one final account was open after several emails trying to ask them to contact the creditors to close the accounts, and finally they were closed, so I thought. 

I took their word, and didn't really apply for any credit products for years, but in the last few years I have been paying closer attention to my credit in hopes of buying a house soon. Turns out that one of my bigger accounts with them hadn't been closed at all. I called the creditor and they told me that I would need to contact the debt consolidation company. I went back and forth, but ultimately this company told me they didn't have any records for my accounts from this far back. So, now I am stuck with the same bill from the same creditor that I could have paid in full myself and not had this haunting my credit for years, had I done so with a portion of the money I paid to these guys. 

If that wasn't enough, I recently went to apply for a credit card through my bank, and was told that I was denied because I had a card that was never paid off with them. This was another one of my accounts that was supposed to be settled through this company. This was another totally unexpected surprise. I'm starting to wonder where my money actual went that I was paying all of those monthly payments for years. It certainly didn't help me with my credit, or even to get out of debt. It was like I was just paying for this predatory company to exist. 

I couldn't give this company a low enough rating. Avoid them, and try to negotiate with your creditors yourself. You'll be much better off.

If you need credit card or serious debt relief/negotiation then contact US debt relief. They got me out of all my debt in 8 months.
