💯 good for it. Miss Elsa at window 3 was professional and took care in making sure she did her job right. I appreciated her diligence because the South Jordan office was fast but didn't get my info correct. I learned from Elsa one only gets 10 social cards in a lifetime re-issued. Though my info was incorrect from South Jordan it still counts against me! Way to know your stuff and put in the effort to care for customers. 👍🏽

My husband and I have been there 4 separate times and made at least 6 different phone calls trying to apply for a social for our adopted son and then a name change for an adopted daughter. Finally spoke to someone today in the Ogden office who actually knew what he was talking about and was told that Salt lake hadn't been asking us for all the proper paperwork and no wonder it's been over 6 months with no card. Completely incompetent works at slc. Avoid at all costs.

My first experience and it was 5 stars in the Social Security office..got a very helpful Social Security Officer (Chris) @ Window 8. It was so smooth ! Matter of 5 to 7 minutes and it was done. Thank you !

I have a case worker that doesn't answer the phone or email and when I call the main number, I'm on hold for 30 minutes then told by a recording that all agents are busy and to try again later. How can I resolve the nasty letters you send if you won't answer me?

This place was great! I went to change my name on my SS card - I was in and out within 20 minutes. They open at 9, but I got there around 8:45 AM, and only 6 people were ahead of me. They have security w/ a metal detector, so be sure to empty all of your pockets of phones, keys, etc. beforehand to make your visit even faster. I wasn't sure what forms of identification they would ask for, so I brought my passport and birth certificate just in case. The only document they asked to see was my marriage certificate. The guy that helped me was quick, friendly and efficient. Overall, my visit was MUCH faster and easier than I had anticipated.
