Story

Union Pilates is Mount Pleasant’s newest destination for self care, physical education and rehabilitation. It is Vancouver’s premier Pilates studio specializing in Fletcher Pilates® and British Columbia’s only Fletcher Pilates® Teacher Training Education Centre.

Our mission is to unite a community through the joy of movement. We are dedicated to providing quality Pilates instruction and teacher training that inspires discipline, precision and dynamic health in a supportive, inclusive and fun environment.

Johanna is an outstanding Pilates teacher. I've had the chance to work with her for over two months now and can already feel significant progress in all areas of body awareness, control, and movement. 

Johanna is patient and extremely knowledgable. She is quick to find solutions around the problems or restrictions we sometimes encounter. Her sessions flow seamlessly from one exercise to the next, always following a sound progression from simple to more complex exercises. As a beginner, this is very valuable.

Her cues are always precise and easy to understand. I really enjoy working with her and would recommend her services to anyone interested in practicing Pilates!

Union Pilates is quite simply amazing. I have suffered from low back injuries and hip pain for years and after a lot of physio I have now landed at Union with Johanna and she is incredibly intuitive, knowledgeable, meticulous in teaching technique to ensure safety and very professional. I am now pain free and getting stronger.  I highly recommend this beautiful studio, the welcoming staff and the added bonus of FREE! easy parking!

If you're looking for thoughtful, careful and impactful pilates instruction, this is the place for you. The studio is impeccable; spacious, clean, modern, and beautiful. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into its conception. And, the instruction is top notch. Johanna is amazing at striking the right balance between in providing instruction and seemingly has an incredible memory for the people that she teaches. I really recommend this place. I only wish I lived in Vancouver and could avail myself of it more!

Johanna is a very experienced, friendly, and supportive teacher. She tailors her sessions to whatever each individual needs and always keeps it interesting. The studio is a beautiful space to work in! I would highly recommend Union Pilates to anyone suffering from pain/stiffness or just looking for a new way to spice up their workouts!
