GREAT LOCATION FOR THE COMMUNITY

Stopped by to ship a package. There were only two customers before me, but after seeing how rudely the customer at the window was being treated I decided to go elsewhere. I don't see any reason to support a business that doesn't show respect to its customers.

Workers are very professional and friendlies, and that office has a parking lot.

Staff members are rude and incompetent. About 10 minutes before 5:00 (when they close) they start verbally pushing people out and one staff member in particular starts commenting to all of her customers things like "I'm doing pretty good for you rushing me, huh?!" or "I can't BELIEVE you waited until almost closing to come in here with all of this?!!!" Ridiculous, I can't believe these people have jobs. This evening I waited in line (one person in front me, two cashiers, I waited for about 10 minutes) and one cashier went and closed the blinds and locked the door BEFORE helping the two of us, even though we both had transactions which took less than 30 seconds to deal with each. Unbelievably unprofessional.

The PO at 1355 N. Mentor Ave. in Pasadena CA 91104 is the most convenient PO to my home, but I've encountered a number of serious problems problems there. First, a few months ago, I discovered that I was being systematically overcharged for dozens of small photo mailers I was sending. I was being charged $1.35 each to mail my 5X7" photo mailers, which were under 2 oz. each, on the grounds, I eventually determined, that they said they were over 1/4" thick. Hah! Clearly NOT true! These were FLAT mailers which were over 1/4" thick only if you puffed them out artificially (or perhaps they puffed out a bit just naturally); normally, even with a photo or 2 inside, they are less than 1/8" thick. Basically their logic was the same as that a sheet of paper is thick as you want, if you bend it enough! These mailers should have cost me, if I recall correctly, $0.58 each to mail. They EVENTUALLY relented, when I brought this to the attention of the main, large, central PO near my neighborhood, the one on Lincoln Ave., the clerk at which couldn't imagine how they came to the conclusion that they came to. Of course, since I didn't keep the receipts, I didn't get the refund I was owed, which would have amounted to about $20. If any think that minor, please send me $20. I have been using the drive-up mailboxes at this PO, since it is nearby. I have been annoyed for a couple of months since, I believe, they were painted, that these boxes have not had the pick up times posted on them (I know that they were posted at the Lincoln Ave PO AT LEAST a month ago, after THEY were painted). A couple of times I needed a piece of mail to be postmarked ASAP, i.e. same day, and was frustrated not to know whether there would be another pick up that day or not. And today I went to this PO to mail an item. Finally, the pick up times were posted on the boxes, but something else seemed amiss when I dropped my mail inside the box. Checking, I reached in and came up with a handful of mail (which to be sure I put back)! I found this box to be OVERFLOWING with mail! ANYONE could reach in and remove handfuls, and maybe even armloads full of mail from these boxes! I found that ALL 3 of these outside boxes were crammed to overflowing with mail. This was on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 10 AM. There was supposedly a pick up on Friday, the day before, at 5 PM. I cannot believe that these PO boxes were emptied just 16 hours before, including an overnight, and likely given the volume of mail in them, not for days at least. This is a residential neighborhood, which can't generate that much in a few hours. Last fall I mailed my car registration application at this PO, 2 days before it needed to be postmarked, otherwise to be considered late, and a fine assessed. I KNOW when I mailed it, without question, because I mailed it immediately after having my car smogged, the documents of which were dated (not to mention my being conscious of the date, and the date due). Well, my registration application was apparently NOT postmarked that day, OR the next, because the DMV assessed a fine for being late! I was able to have the fine cancelled, but I had to go to the DMV and stand in line to do it. If you think that my complaint is minor, could I have a PO employee do the DMV visit for me next time? Would the PO gladly pay the fine? TODAY, just a moment ago, I received an INSURED package (insured for $100), from my neighbor! It had been mis-delivered. And I have had several other packages vanish, in the last 3 years since I've lived here, each mailed by reliable sellers. They were not insured, so I was unable to either trace them or be compensated, but I have every reason to believe that they were delivered to the wrong addresses, or otherwise lost by this PO, if not some other. Where do I squeeze in the fact that I have, in 3 years, received dozens of pieces of mail addressed to my neighbors (some across town)? This PO has SERIOUS problems.
