I accompanied my student to Health Services and the receptionist turned her away because she felt that she wasn’t serious enough to see a physician. She said that unless you have an open wound or shortness of breath, you should not see a physician. It is not the place of a receptionist to make those decisions. My student subsequently went to the hospital. This is completely unacceptable, especially since students are paying for a significant portion of that building per term. 

The only doctor I would recommend is Dr. Stecho who is an absolute professional and I recommend him to everyone. The only doctor you should avoid is Dr. Benedict, I have no idea how she still has her license to practice. 

Health Services is a beautiful facility and I genuinely hope they change.

I didn't give a 1 star because I got in pretty quickly despite not having an appointment. However, after the fastest check up, I was told my cold/flu symptoms would pass (even though they had not yet even after a week and a half). I just got back from a different clinic after I hit 3 weeks of unrelenting cough, headaches, fatigue, etc., and have been given a prescription to fight a bacterial infection. So thanks Health Services, I pay for your services, but your help isn't worth pennies. 
PS. I'm just extra mad because it's the end of the term and I've missed classes from this in trying to "sleep and drink" it off.

Receptionists are either unprofessional or just don't know what their jobs are supposed to be. Called them to make an appointment which took over 15 minutes when it should have taken 2 minutes at most. The first receptionist kept saying to hold and when I finally got someone on the line, it's a different person on the other end. This happened twice! The type of services available are not enough! No wonder students don't feel like they can get help because  the staff and the services are incompetent and insufficient! UW keeps saying that they care about the students. Well if they actually did then the health of students should be a big concern for them.

Rude people... called to make an appointment with mental health and get hung up twice... If you are feeling down, never call them cuz they will make it worse.

Haven't had one good experience her. Took forever to make an appointment, then they called me and cancelled my appointment, my next appointment got rescheduled on me, then I waited over an hour because they 'forgot about my appointment'.  I had asked for a female doctor and was given a male. I answered the same questions about my health history over and over. I have had a few appointments here and it always feels like a waste of time.
