HUD oversees MPHA and with Minneapolis Public Housing Authority actions over the past several years it makes me wonder how much they are actually doing. Here is the recent incident with MPHA. MPHA (Minneapolis Public Housing) was allowed to get a writ of recovery. Monday 12.5/16 morning the sheriff was at my door to escort me out of the building.. By the end of Monday I had had the writ overturned and was allowed to return to my apartment. I arrived back at my apartment on Tuesday and started unpacking all my things. I noticed things missing from the beginning. Things that were obviously to big to fit in any of the boxes that were in the apartment. I filed a police report. MPHA wants to reimburse me for the missing items and I bet they want to have me sign something that says I can't sue them. I am not going to sign anything that will give MPHA any power at all. I spoke with MPHA's attorney Kristen Ferris yesterday and she told me that MPHA doesn't handle the packing of a tenants property and that the packing process is NOT supervised BY MPHA to prevent things like stealing from happening. It is not only MPHA's responsibility to make sure that everything I own is packed but returned to me safely. I am very angry. I feel so violated by MPHA's behavior. The elevators in the building I live in have cameras. There are cameras everywhere. I also have a witness who can identify those who were at my apartment to move my things out. The name of the moving company that MPHA uses to haul away a tenants property is Uptown Transfer, Inc. located in Minneapolis Minnesota. I went to the Better Business Bureau's web page and looked them up. Knowing what I know about them now I would not ask them to move me anywhere. It's obvious that they are not good at their jobs if I am missing so much of my property much less the fact that 2 of the safes I had had been broken into and stuffed into a box. I am also missing a social security card that was in one of the safes and now am concerned about my identity being stolen. I am really angry.
