My son is the Veteran. They Do Not Understand his Mentality apparently even after going there for years. The lady that was working with us was never on point. Now after being told of a time line on bridging now she said it's six weeks out! I don't care if they think I was the fault for our caseworker leaving her job. But oh we.
They exist on paper to help veterans in times of need, but in reality they will dangle help above your head while coercing you to answer questions even after you've communicated calmly and professionally that the line of questioning makes you feel uncomfortable and that you would prefer to move on to the next question. They use coercion techniques to try to get you to answer questions after you've communicated that the question makes you feel uncomfortable and will dangle help in front of you whilst coercing you. Illegal and immoral
At first I wasn't too happy about this place but after all was said and done these folks helped me out above and beyond the call. They continue keeping in touch and checking up to see how Im doing. But helped me out and got me housing thru HUD Vash which has been awesome. Also assisted me throughout some legal issues I had, couldn't have done it whiteout them. Between these people and MAC V I'd be screwed.
Efficiently maintained by civilians to assist veteran's with specific needs. Also, a great place for veterans to socialize and have a cup of coffee.
Showers, laundry, coffee, snacks. Help with emergency shelter. HUD-VASH and Medical referrals. Computer lab. Must be a Veteran to obtain services.
Ladie on the receiving end of the phone when you press 0 is completely rude and spent absolutely all her energy on telling me no instead of finding any information that could help.
